Quota v1.1.1
Quota v1.1.1 is a focused compatibility release for Codex's current usage system. It replaces the obsolete 5-hour and secondary weekly presentation with one accurate Weekly Limit across the desktop app and companion extension.
The companion VS Code/OpenVSX extension is updated separately to v1.0.5 and adds colored status-bar indicators so remaining usage is easier to read at a glance.
Desktop App v1.1.1
Codex weekly usage
- Codex now shows one Weekly Limit based on the active primary seven-day usage window.
- Removed the obsolete 5-hour label and empty secondary weekly row.
- Updated low-quota checks to follow the same active weekly limit.
- Kept weekly reset timing visible when Codex provides it.
VS Code/OpenVSX Extension v1.0.5
Codex weekly usage
- Replaced the old Codex 5-hour status and panel label with Weekly.
- Removed the obsolete secondary Codex weekly track.
- Kept existing pinned
codex.primarysettings working without a migration.
Colored status indicators
Pinned percentage tracks now use small usage-aware circles:
- 🟢 Green when more than 30% remains.
- 🟡 Yellow when 11% to 30% remains.
- 🔴 Red when 10% or less remains.
- ⚪ Neutral when a track does not provide percentage data.
The indicator always reflects remaining quota, even when the extension is configured to display percent used.
Compatibility
- Existing desktop account data remains compatible.
- Existing extension connections and pinned status-bar settings remain compatible.
- No account reconnect or settings migration is required.
- Quota's local data-handling model has not changed.
Not Included Yet
Codex's banked usage-limit resets and their expiration dates are not displayed in this release. That data uses a separate account surface and still needs a read-only investigation before it can be added safely.
