FoldGPT v0.2.0-alpha.1

ChatGPT Desktop and Codex, with a local workspace on Galaxy Z Fold. This first named source preview opens the Android host and Linux ARM64 integration to contributors.

Release scope

This is a source alpha for contributors, not a ready-to-install consumer APK. GitHub's source archives contain the host and integration code. They exclude the proprietary ChatGPT client, Linux images, generated runtime payloads and account material.

No root or bootloader unlock is required by the runtime design. The desktop, files and tools run locally; model and account requests use OpenAI's online services. The client adapter is version-specific.

Clean installation and complete packaging still need qualification. The build guide records the remaining guest-bundle format and PulseAudio assembly gaps. Extended background/fold sessions, sustained simultaneous active conversations, Remote and automatic updates also remain under qualification. Android's shared process budget still applies.

Validation

The public source-integrity checks, Python syntax checks and 23 Linux host regression suites pass in GitHub Actions. Device and APK qualification is a separate gate; this release makes no new phone-stability claim.
