First public release. macOS (Apple Silicon) only for now — Windows and Intel Mac builds coming.

What's in it

  • Local meeting transcription via on-device Whisper (auto-downloads ~3.1GB Large v3 model on first use)
  • OpenAI Whisper API as alternative (bring your own key)
  • TipTap-based note editor with auto-save, polish-with-LLM, summarize-as-meeting-notes
  • Per-project HNSW vector search across your notes and imported documents
  • PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD import
  • Auto-detection of Zoom and Microsoft Teams meetings
  • Works with Anthropic Claude (Sonnet 4.6, Opus 4.6), OpenAI GPT-5.4, Google Gemini 3 Pro, or any local model via Ollama

Known limitations

  • macOS Apple Silicon only (Intel Mac and Windows builds coming)
  • No speaker diarization yet
  • ~3.1GB model download on first transcription

Download the .dmg below, open it, drag Platypus to Applications. Signed and notarized.
