Installing / upgrading

First launch after install: macOS will warn "developer cannot be verified" because this build is unsigned. Dismiss the dialog, then open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the bottom, and click Open Anyway next to stackmaster.app. You'll need to do this every time you install a new version until distribution is signed.

The older right-click → Open workaround was removed in macOS 14+ for apps without a Developer ID.

Upgrading from a previous version: quit stackmaster (⌘Q) before dragging the new app to Applications — macOS won't replace a running app and the drop will silently fail.

Your data (DB, settings) is preserved across upgrades; it lives in ~/Library/Application Support/stackmaster/ outside the app bundle.
