Chief of Staff v2.2.0

Choose a tag to compare

@plotdevice01 plotdevice01 released this 09 Aug 05:47
03721a0

Chief of Staff v2.2.0 makes one approved plan durable through its complete authorized delivery path.

Highlights

  • carries plan-scoped authorization through local writes, connector batches, pushes, pull requests, merges, tags, releases, deployments, and publication
  • removes repeated approval checkpoints unless scope, target, recipient, destructive impact, or a material decision changes
  • adds clean-cache installation and exact installed-file parity proof
  • corrects the Codex Desktop permission language and keeps CLI-only read-only acceptance controls separate
  • makes executable closeout steps part of completion instead of leaving known work waiting on the user
  • records sealed GPT-5.6 Sol Medium acceptance on both Codex CLI and ChatGPT Work: 17/17 scenarios and 90/90 criteria on each host
  • makes Sol Medium the sole active release profile; the Terra test and model-waiver path are removed
  • keeps installation repository-owned and makes no OpenAI review, approval, directory, or store-distribution claim

@plotdevice01 plotdevice01 released this 08 Aug 05:01

Fixes project-loader preservation, removes obsolete OpenAI submission scaffolding, corrects repository-based upgrade commands, and restores repository/root/cache/release parity. Install from this repository with install.ps1 on Windows or install.sh on macOS/Linux. Validation status: pass_with_waiver. ZIP SHA-256: 26f862468d39f89b7e76f1884b2b808361d6c67ef908069ee553163d564e2d35.

Chief of Staff v2.1.1

@plotdevice01 plotdevice01 released this 08 Aug 03:02

Chief v2.1.1 makes the team installation process intentionally boring: install Chief once and ask for work normally.

Teammate install

After OpenAI publishes Chief in the universal Plugins Directory:

  1. Open ChatGPT and switch to Work.
  2. Open Plugins and find Chief of Staff.
  3. Click +.
  4. Start a new chat and ask for the finished work.

A workspace admin can set Chief to Installed for required roles. Until OpenAI approves and publishes the listing, admins and developers can use the GitHub-backed marketplace instructions in the package.

Architecture

  • One discoverable Chief skill
  • Internal ICM, brand voice, general copy, paid ads, paid video, social, carousel, document, research, technical, and client-delivery workflows
  • Pinned AI Sloppy Copy 0.5.0, Brand Voice Factory 0.2.1, and Crafty Carousels 0.6.1 runtimes
  • No Ponytail dependency
  • No Claude distribution route
  • No separate specialist selection for teammates

The specialist repositories remain independently maintained upstream factories. They are not separate team-facing OpenAI directory submissions.

Release evidence

This is a documentation and distribution-only patch. Model-facing behavior is unchanged from v2.1.0. Its accepted GPT-5.6 Sol Medium evidence is carried forward with the reason recorded in the package. The rebuilt v2.1.1 installed package passed strict validation, local parity, and the single-skill smoke check. Terra remains pending under the version-bound owner waiver.

SHA-256 is supplied as a separate release asset.

v2.1.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 08 Aug 01:53
a6a0b9e

Chief v2.1.0 introduced the single-Chief universal runtime and passed the accepted ChatGPT Work and Codex release matrix.

Distribution notice

The runtime remains valid, but the teammate install and OpenAI directory guidance was clarified in v2.1.1.

Use v2.1.1 for new installations. Do not replace this historical asset; release packages are immutable.

Chief of Staff 2.0.1

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 06 Aug 00:13

Chief of Staff 2.0.1 adds a mandatory execution trace for non-trivial work and every task that names or automatically routes a skill or plugin.

  • Reports requested or routed skills/plugins, loaded version/path, workflow steps, inputs, references, handoffs, and validation actually used.
  • Treats reading a SKILL.md or naming a plugin as inspection, not material utilization.
  • Reports partial use, substitutions, skipped requirements, failures, and output impact before claiming completion.
  • Adds LIVE-013 regression coverage for incomplete Crafty utilization.
  • Passed fresh Codex Sol Medium, Codex Terra XHigh, and Claude Code acceptance: 13/13 scenarios and 60/60 assertions on each profile.

Chief of Staff 0.6

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 31 Jul 01:25

Why the version is now 0.6

Public release numbering moves from 0.5.2 to 0.6 because Chief of Staff remains a pre-1.0 product. One-decimal milestones communicate that status without adding a patch digit for every internal iteration. Release 0.6 succeeds and fully contains 0.5.2. This is a numbering reset, not a capability or behavior rollback.

Host compatibility

Codex and Claude Code manifests report 0.6.0 because both plugin formats require strict three-part semantic versions. The public release, Git tag, documentation, and ZIP use 0.6.

The complete stack now requires AI Sloppy Copy release 0.3. Its host manifest reports 0.3.0. Existing AI Sloppy Copy 2.2.6 installations require one remove and reinstall cycle because semantic-version updaters sort 0.3.0 below 2.2.6.

Changed

  • Added one-decimal public release validation.
  • Added release-line-aware dependency checks so stale 2.2.6 caches cannot pass as 0.3.
  • Updated Codex and Claude Code installation guidance with the exact reset commands.
  • Updated Claude Code installers to remove 2.2.6 once before installing 0.3.
  • Rebuilt and visually verified the installation and operating SOP.

Preserved

  • Complete retained persona source and all 97 traceable requirements
  • Sol Medium Standard routing
  • Sol High or Extra High expert and high-risk routing
  • 85% compression and caveman mode
  • Direct-reply humor and external tone boundaries
  • Project-rule preservation across all managed loaders
  • Account gates and approval controls
  • Full Ponytail behavior
  • Every AI Sloppy Copy rule and evidence boundary

No persona requirement, safety control, authority boundary, project rule, or companion capability was removed.
