This release draws Mermaid diagrams with a faster renderer that follows your theme, shows counts for selected text in the inspector, and translates more of the interface. New Tab no longer offers New Document.
Added
- Counts for selected text. Select text in Read Mode or Edit Mode, and the inspector shows the selection's words, characters, and lines, labeled as selected. With nothing selected, it shows the whole document's counts (#534).
Changed
- Faster Mermaid diagrams that follow your theme.
mermaidcode blocks are now drawn by Pele, which draws diagrams about 40% faster and makes the app about 5 MB smaller. Diagrams take their colors from the current theme, span the column like code blocks, and accept frontmatter blocks. Layout and spacing differ from before, and a diagram that cannot be drawn shows the error with its line and column. Applies to Read Mode, Edit Mode, Quick Look, and exports (#539). - More of the interface is translated. Settings, navigation, recent files, search results, formatting and link actions, export messages, and theme and font names now have Japanese, Persian, and Simplified Chinese translations (#532).
Removed
- New Document in the New Tab panel. The file picker that File → New Tab (⌘T) opens no longer has a New Document button, as before 0.0.67. To start a new document, use File → New (⌘N) (#542, reverts #502).
Fixed
- Diagram editing in Edit Mode. Select All no longer closes an open diagram's source, clicking a diagram puts the caret at the end of its source instead of inside the opening fence, and an empty diagram block opens a source line with one click (#539).
