OfflineTides 1.0.2.0 Alpha 1
Pre-releaseOfflineTides 1.0.2.0 Alpha 1 is the first public test release of the
OfflineTides OpenCPN plugin.
This prerelease provides offline astronomical tidal-height forecasts using a
self-contained global .xtdt data package. Forecasts can be displayed relative
to Chart Datum or model mean sea level, with datum and uncertainty information,
high/low-water events, selectable dates and locations, native OpenCPN station
comparison, and JSON/CSV export.
Qualified plugin packages are included for:
- Ubuntu 24.04 x86_64
- Ubuntu 22.04 x86_64
- Debian 13 x86_64
- Debian 12 x86_64
The separate offlinetides-global-data-1.0.0-alpha1.tar.gz archive contains the
global forecast data. Extract the archive and select the enclosed .xtdt file
from OfflineTides using Open .xtdt package....
OfflineTides is an alpha-stage secondary planning aid. Its astronomical
forecast does not account for live weather surge, atmospheric pressure, river
flow, waves, or other short-term non-tidal effects. It is not a substitute for
official publications, observations, prudent navigation, or maintaining a safe
under-keel clearance.
The public data archive contains quantised derived harmonic coefficients and
the runtime manifest required by the plugin. It contains no raw third-party
model dataset or publication-derived tide tables. Checksums for every release
asset are provided in OfflineTides-1.0.2.0-alpha1-SHA256SUMS.
