SocketReactor help need

I trying set reactor timeout value but the onTimeout callback function is allways called without respecting the timeout value.

What I am doing wrong?

I just using the sample code below, thanks in avance.

		_reactor(reactor)

    		_reactor.setTimeout(Poco::Timespan(30, 0));

		_reactor.addEventHandler(_socket, Observer<EchoServiceHandler, ReadableNotification>(*this, &EchoServiceHandler::onReadable));
		_reactor.addEventHandler(_socket, Observer<EchoServiceHandler, TimeoutNotification>(*this, &EchoServiceHandler::onTimeout));

	{
		std::cout << "EchoServiceHandler()::onTimeout()\n";
		pNf->release();
	}
