This release updates premise’s default IAM scenario archive, adds battery-electric freight trucks to IMAGE scenarios, and improves uncertainty handling for Swiss hydropower inventories.

Highlights

  • Updated the IAM scenario download source to [Zenodo record 21790981 (https://zenodo.org/records/21790981).
  • Added IMAGE mappings for:
    • 18 t medium-duty battery-electric trucks.
    • 40 t heavy-duty battery-electric trucks.
    • Their corresponding energy-service and electricity final-energy
      variables.
  • Added transparent support for IMAGE’s underscore-based archive filenames. Existing premise pathway names remain unchanged:
    • SSP2-VLHO continues to be the public pathway name.
    • image_SSP2_VLHO.csv is resolved automatically in the Zenodo
      archive.
  • Local IMAGE scenario files are now recognized with either hyphens or underscores.
  • Corrected Swiss reservoir-hydropower water exchanges so retained lognormal uncertainty distributions are rescaled together with their amounts.
  • Added deterministic handling for corrected hydropower exchanges whose original amount was zero.
  • Added regression coverage for scenario downloading, filename compatibility, IMAGE BEV truck mappings, and hydropower uncertainty handling.
