Compatibility as of firmware v0.6.1
PicoGUS requires an ISA bus speed of 8.33MHz or lower. Glitchy playback or silence may happen at higher bus speeds. Also compatibility with different chipsets may vary, specifically for DMA.
Tested known good chipsets:
- 386SX: Chips & Technologies CS8221
- 386DX/486: ALi M1419
- 486: SiS 85C496/497
- Socket 5/Socket 7: Intel 430FX, Intel 430VX
- Super Socket 7: ALi Aladdin V
- Slot 1/Socket 370: VIA Apollo Pro 133A
Chipsets that work, with some issues
- 386 SoC: ALi M6117D (used in Hand386 & single board computers, some titles have issues)
