Just a few suggestions

Hi all,

just a summary of a few features i am missing and i would appreciate if these could be implemented sooner or later.

1. Just a little issue, i would like to see the battery status as % digits directly on the panel. Actually it only shows the battery icon.

2. I would like to monitor my net traffic, so i would like to have a simple app similar to the Gnome Extension NetSpeedSimplified.

3. I really loved the Gnome Extension CustomHotCorners. Here you could define actions for each corner by simple move the mouse to it, or move the mouse to a corner and then press a mouse button, or switch the wheel etc ... for example, i defined one corner with mouse wheel action to increase or decrease my monitor brightness. Well, on Laptops this is no issue, just FN+ a key, but for Desktop settings there was no other fast reachable software solution doing it.

And just one question: In Cosmic Store, there is a menu point called Applets which is empty so far. Am i right that this will be the place for third party Cosmic Apps in future, similar to Gnome Extensions Website ?

1. Duplicate of Add options for battery applet to show time/percent to [dis]charge cosmic-applets#959.
2. That would likely be a third party applet (some of them already offer such functionality).
3. Hot corners aren't planned for now, but I think a third-party layer shell applet could potentially provide such functionality.

Yes, the applets page in the Store is for third-party flatpak applets, and if you're on podev:master, the repository should already be there. If not, you'll likely get it later today once the stable repo is updated.
If you don't want to wait, or aren't using Pop!_OS, you can add the repo with the following:

flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists --user cosmic https://apt.pop-os.org/cosmic/cosmic.flatpakrepo

I m using PopOS 24.04. and just added the repo as you mentioned, now i see exactly 3 apps in cosmic store app page:. External Monitor Brightness, Minimon and System Monitor. Is this really all ? Just asking cause you mentioned above that there are several apps offering the monitoring of net traffic allready ?

Minimon and System Monitor have network monitoring. The repo was recently created, so there aren't a lot of applets yet. And COSMIC isn't even in Beta yet, so it'll fill up more when more people use it and want to create applets.

hot corner applet feature request: #667

Closing since all 3 points are either duplicates or addressed. In the future, please file individual issues for each individual point. Multi-point meta issues are difficult to make actionable.
