Changing focus to "right" window doesn't work across multiple monitors

Describe the bug

I've got 2 monitors connected to my machine and would like to have "workspaces span displays" enabled as I tend to use both monitors for a particular piece of work at the same time (i.e. editor on the left screen, browser on the right screen).

In tiling mode, I'm able to change focus "to the left" using Super + H from a window on the right screen, to a window on the left screen. However, I can't move back again. When I press Super + L I'm taken to the next workspace rather than the original window on the right screen.

To Reproduce

1. Setup Cosmic Deskop 1.0.0-Beta with 2 monitors connected
2. Enable workspaces that span displays
3. Set workspaces in horizontal orientation
4. Enabling tiling mode in all workspaces, including the current one
5. Create a window on each monitor (i.e. COSMIC Text Editor)
6. Focus on the window on the right monitor
7. Press Super + H to move focus the window on the left monitor
8. Press Super + L to move focus to the window on the right

Expected behavior

Focus should be transferable, in all directions, across windows in the same workspace, even if they're on different displays.

If no one has yet looked into this bug, I would propose myself to do so. I would appreciate some help for starting out though (maybe tell me where i could look)

I should have closed this 😄 as its working, or atleast working better on 1.0.0~beta.9-1.fc43

At some point the shortcut for changing monitor focus became Super + ALT + H and Super + ALT + L and is working more reliable. I can flick focus between the monitors and back again.

There's a slightly different issue that the cursor doesn't follow if there are no windows on the monitor screen, for example if the Left monitor has no windows but Right has a window, with focus starting on the right, the pressing Super + ALT + H brings focus to the Left monitor and I can open the launcher there, but the cursor is sticking on the Right monitor.

That's a different problem though .

I still have this issue, I would like to move my focus over to the next window instead of jumping to the next workspace or event looping through them. It seems like it works for some people.

I am also encountering this issue. Focus will either not move between windows when using Super + [HJKL] or actions on my current window will affect other applications in different workspaces or monitors.

This also happens on vertically stacked monitors using the same workspaces span displays settings enabled.

Changing focus from window A to window B, works fine.
From window B to window D using super + down arrow (which is in another monitor) moves me to another workspace.

Similarly, starting at window C, moving down (super + down arrow) moves me to another workspace rather than moving focus to window D.

To add, trying to move window B down next to window D, moves window B in a new workspace (monitor A)
