[BUG] Cannot set external monitor refresh rate to 120Hz

I started by attempting to set refresh rate using cosmic settings, when selecting 120Hz for my external display it jumps back to 59.973Hz and when trying to set it through terminal it just says "configuration failed"

cosmic-randr mode DP-1 3440 1440 --refresh 120
Error: "configuration failed"

A cosmic-randr list will show you the supported modes which has 120Hz in it.

Hi, I have encountered the same problem.
In the GUI it was ignoring my selection, tho it did apply it for 120hz.

It did accept the command:
cosmic-randr mode DP-2 2560 1440 --refresh 164.056

So perhaps it needs the exact hz in XXX.XXX format?

Ironically I was able to set my refresh rate when I disabled the internal display, set the external display to 120Hz and enabled the internal one again...
