• All rings use native Liquid Glass on macOS 26 and later, with a system frosted material on older versions. Improve the ring outline and contrast against light and dark backgrounds.
• Choose Regular Liquid Glass, Clear Liquid Glass or Frosted from the menu bar menu or Settings → General → Appearance. The choice is saved; older systems support Frosted only.
• Right-clicking the ring center or empty space no longer opens settings. Context menus for apps, windows and tabs remain available.

• Set a separate shortcut in Settings → General → Activation to open the current app's action ring directly. Double-tap left Option still switches modes while the ring is open.
• Record single keys, function keys or key combinations. Ring shortcuts pause during recording, and conflicting shortcuts are identified in settings.
• Adjust the ring's center title size in Settings → General → Appearance, from 10–16 pt (default: 12 pt).
• Larger action names and shortcut labels, with stronger text contrast. Remove the mode-switch hint from both ring centers.

• Open favorites by holding Option in either ring mode. Left-Option hold recognition takes 150 ms and remains distinct from double-tap mode switching.
• Add per-app shortcut actions. Configure and reorder named shortcuts in Settings → Actions; double-tap left Option with the ring open to switch modes. Each app remembers its last mode across restarts. The action ring does not take input focus. It verifies the original window and, when available at invocation, its focused control; apps exposing only window focus use window-level verification.
• Preserve custom window and tab names and colors when a query temporarily omits an item, including during sleep/wake. Unavailable application-process information no longer triggers record deletion. Records remain scoped to the target application's current process and are cleaned up after that process ends; closing an individual window or tab does not immediately remove its record.
• Choose System, Light or Dark appearance in Settings.
• Close LumaRing Settings with Command + W or the enabled three-finger pinch gesture.
• Add unified local application logs, capped at 10 MB with automatic rotation. Disable logging, clear logs or open their folder in Settings → General → Local Logs.

• Right-click an app to create a window, choose whether the secondary ring shows windows or tabs, or quit the app. Available actions depend on the app.
• Hold Option or double-click the center while the secondary ring is closed to show your favorite apps. Configure them in Settings → App Management.
• Choose a three- or four-finger tap to open the ring. Enable three-finger pinch in Settings to minimize the foreground window.
• Keep the ring open after closing a secondary window or tab, so you can close several in succession. Improve window preview matching, gesture recognition and browser action responsiveness.
• Sort secondary windows and tabs by their displayed names, with stable ordering for matching names.
• Right-click a secondary window or tab to close it or edit its name and sector color in a floating panel. Choose from twelve preset colors, or restore the defaults. Fix the ring disappearing and losing the target while editing.

Custom names are stored locally and tied to the current target-app process; restarting the target app starts a new naming scope. New Window requires an available command in the target application's Accessibility menu.

• Select apps anywhere in their highlighted ring sectors, with a smaller neutral center for shorter pointer movements.
• Close a window or browser tab in the background with the × button in the secondary ring, without LumaRing switching to the target app.
• Drag an app icon outside the main ring and release to quit the app. Drag it back or press Escape before releasing to cancel.
• Dismiss the ring immediately on an outward drop and deliver quit requests off the UI thread.
• Show a red outline and “Release to quit” hint during an outward drag, and prevent held-shortcut release from triggering an extra switch.

Closing and quitting use the original application's normal workflow, including its save or confirmation prompts. The ring dismisses after a close or quit request.

• Add an optional four-finger trackpad tap to open or close the ring. Enable it in Settings → General → Activation; it is off by default.
• Recognize taps after all four fingers lift, with movement, timing and cooldown checks to reject swipes, holds and repeated activation.
• Stop gesture listening when disabled or suspended, and reconnect after wake or device changes.

The gesture feature is experimental and uses macOS's private multitouch interface. Compatibility and gesture behavior can vary by system and trackpad. Existing keyboard and mouse activation remain available.
