• 🎯 Why: Iterative searches (like finding the exact local minimum in a 60-minute window) evaluate separations many times. Repeating coordinate transformations on a completely stationary Star is a waste of processing time.
• 📊 Impact: ~21% reduction in planetary and lunar conjunction search times, leading to a 2.82s overall speedup for a full 1-year event profile search.
• 🔬 Measurement: Verified with scripts/profile_events.py and the unit test suite.
