1.6.1

@ppocass ppocass released this 18 Sep 12:03

Display name changed to Graph by Jexyllax (the previous name contained an apostrophe, which the directory does not allow). Plugin id unchanged. No functional change since 1.5.2.

@ppocass ppocass released this 18 Sep 11:52

Renamed to Graph by Jexyllax, with a new plugin id (jexyllax-graph). No functional change since 1.5.2.

1.5.2

@ppocass ppocass released this 08 Sep 16:02

Renames the plugin to Jexyllax's Graph. The identifier is unchanged, so installed copies keep working.

1.5.1

Fixes the editor breaking when a note contained a graph link. CodeMirror refuses block decorations provided by a view plugin; they now come from a state field, as required.

1.5.0

Plain [[graph.graph]] links now render as previews in Live Preview, not only in reading mode. The line turns back into editable text when the cursor enters it.

1.4.0

  • Explorable previews: hold Cmd (Ctrl on Windows) over an embedded graph to drag and zoom it without opening the file. The framing stays local to that preview and the file is never modified.
  • Plain links render as previews: [[graph.graph]] alone on its line now displays the graph, no leading exclamation mark needed. Links inside a sentence stay links, and the behaviour can be disabled in the settings.

1.3.2

@ppocass ppocass released this 08 Sep 15:29

Critical fix: graphs were never written to disk. The view declared a save() method, which shadowed the one TextFileView schedules internally, so the real write never ran and drawings were lost when a tab was closed or reopened. A regression test now guards the whole set of internal methods.

Mark the plugin as desktop only: the editor relies on right-click, hover, wheel zoom and modifier keys, which have not been verified on touch devices.

1.3.0

@ppocass ppocass released this 08 Sep 11:49
  • Tangents: click a curve to draw its tangent, with its equation. It is recomputed when the expression or the abscissa changes.
  • Attached endpoints: a segment endpoint dropped on a point follows it, so projection lines track a moving equilibrium.
  • Rotation of shapes and ellipses from the properties panel.
  • Anchored shapes: a shaded shape can follow the geometry — each vertex tracks the point, intersection, line or curve it sits on. Toggle it from the right-click menu.

1.2.0

@ppocass ppocass released this 08 Sep 11:45

First public release.

Draw mathematical and economics figures inside Obsidian notes:

  • coordinate grid with independent X and Y scales, and an optional first-quadrant view
  • function curves typed in plain notation, including x², e^x, √x and decimal commas
  • points, segments, lines, arrows, text, free shapes and nine geometric shapes
  • intersection points and tangents that recompute when their parents move
  • snapping to points, endpoints, lines and curves, bypassed with Cmd
  • shaded areas under a curve, PNG and PDF export, note previews with ![[graph.graph]]
  • English and French interface, with a settings tab

No build step, no external dependency, no network request.
