"Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the official game releases" when running latest osu!lazer release

I've been encountering an error for the past couple days whenever I start a beatmap, saying that I need to use the latest version of the official game releases. It started when I updated to 2026.421.0-lazer from 2026.418.0-lazer, and still persists on 2026.423.0-lazer. I have tried logging out and back in, reinstalling, and deleting my osu folder. I am running macOS.

Looking in the logs, its seems that I'm getting the "missing token header" error a lot of others are also getting, but I haven't seen any posts about macOS, so I'm not sure if there's a file I should try to modify somewhere. Any advice would be appreciated!

Unfortunately whatever update the server got broke macOS 10.15-11 connections. I've tested on macOS 11 (Big Sur) with the same error.

I see. Are there any plans to fix this?

Not sure. Eventually, when the osu! client is updated to .NET 10, it will not launch anymore on those macOS versions.

But what I can say is that the downloads page holds true now (macOS 12 or later).
