Linux

• AppImage runs without libfuse2. It now ships on the static AppImage runtime, so it launches on Ubuntu 22.04+, Fedora and other distros that no longer install libfuse2.
• AppImageUpdate support. The AppImage embeds update information and a .zsync file is published next to it, so tools like AppImageUpdate can update it in place. In-app auto-update works as before.

Project

• The repository has moved to https://github.com/pramodbutte/torrentdeck. Existing installs keep auto-updating.
• Added the GPL-2.0 LICENSE file.

Under the hood

• Electron 44 (Chromium 152). macOS 13 Ventura or newer is now required; Macs on macOS 12 stay on 0.1.8 and are not offered this update.
• Clipboard magnet watching adapted to Electron's new asynchronous clipboard API.

Fixes & improvements

• Find data (Transmission) — the detail panel's Location field gains a Find data button that points a torrent at files already on disk without moving anything, then verifies them. This is the fix for torrents stuck on "No data found" after a drive was unmounted or a folder was moved: on Transmission 4.0.x a plain Verify local data silently does nothing in that state (the daemon skips the check while it sees no files).
• Full error text on hover — hovering a torrent's status now shows the daemon's complete error message; list cells used to cut it off after the first few words.
• Action failures are visible — if a server rejects an action (start / pause / verify / reannounce, queue moves, remove, torrent updates, move or find data, server settings, bandwidth groups), a small non-modal notice above the status bar says what failed, on which server, and why. It fades on its own. Successes stay silent, as before: the row updating on the next poll is the acknowledgement.

Adding torrents

• Add multiple magnets at once. Copy several magnet links in a row (or click several
  magnet: links) and they collect into one Add dialog — deduplicated — instead of the
  new one replacing the last. Add the whole batch to a server in one go; each row shows its
  name with a ✕ to drop it, and the result is summarized ("N added · M already on server")
  so a duplicate no longer cancels the rest.

Updates

• Updates install only when you choose. A downloaded update now waits behind an explicit
  Restart to install (menu item + a badge on the ⚙ button, plus a one-time notification).
  Quitting or restarting the app never force-installs an update.

Blocklist

• The Blocklist setting now offers a working default list in one click when the daemon
  still has Transmission's placeholder URL.

Privacy

• The recording-privacy mode (for screenshots/screencasts) now uses an opaque redaction
  bar over torrent/file names instead of a blur, leaving no recoverable text.

Retroactive per-torrent Size Filter. The detail Files tab gains a "Skip files under" slider: drag it to preview which files stay (checkboxes update live — nothing is sent yet, and you can still tick/untick rows), then Apply to commit in one call, or Reset to discard.

This completes the Size Filter across all three moments: a server default, a slider while adding a .torrent, and now this after-the-fact control on any existing torrent (Transmission, Deluge, qBittorrent).

Size Filter

Skip small files (readme/ad/sample junk) automatically. Set a per-server size threshold; files below it aren't downloaded.

• For a .torrent, the Add dialog now has a Magnet / .torrent toggle, a full file list with sizes, and a "Skip files under" slider.
• For magnets, it's applied as soon as the daemon knows the files — Deluge prefetches metadata so junk never touches disk; Transmission/qBittorrent filter best-effort.

Watch folders

A per-server folder (on your machine) that TorrentDeck scans while open and auto-adds new .torrent files to that server — works with remote daemons. Ingested files move to an .added/ subfolder. Configure it in the server editor.

Privacy & network settings

A new session-settings section: DHT, PeX, LPD, plus µTP and anonymous mode where the daemon supports them (encryption moved here too).

Extended seeding limits

Beyond seed ratio: idle-time and total seed-time limits, and a Pause / Remove action when a limit is reached — each shown only where the daemon supports it.

Smaller touches

• Clipboard magnet watcher (opt-in) — offers to add a magnet the moment you copy it.
• Shift-click range selection in the torrent list.

• New brand identity — a muted electric-blue accent and logo glyph, with the "Deck" wordmark kept in signature orange. Tuned to read well on both light and dark backgrounds.

What's new

• macOS: default torrent app — on first launch TorrentDeck offers to become your default handler for .torrent files (magnet links are claimed automatically).
