Release Notes — v0.45.0
Minor: Web search gets a settings page of its own
Everything about how Ogcode searches the web now lives on Settings → Search,
instead of being buried in General. The page opens on two tabs — Native and
Tavily — so the provider you are using is explicit rather than implied.
The native knobs are back under Advanced: how many pages a search extracts,
how many characters it keeps from each page, and which engine leads. They persist
now, so the setting you choose survives a restart, and the environment variables
(OGCODE_SEARCH_FETCH_TOP_K, OGCODE_SEARCH_PAGE_CHARS, OGCODE_SEARCH_BROWSER)
still win when they are set. A key you paste for Tavily is stored and shown as
stored, without a separate test step to trip over.
Minor: You can see what a running tool is doing
A tool call that is still running no longer shows up as a bare, empty row. The
transcript now names it while it works — Running bash with the command, or
Preparing write — and the row shows a clock once it has been going for a couple
of seconds, so a slow command is visibly slow rather than apparently stuck.
Minor: Plan mode says it is still moving
Plan mode carries a warning banner now: it is under rapid development and not yet
stable, and the banner says so plainly, with a link to report what breaks and a
reminder that Build mode is there if you need it. Dismiss it once and it stays
dismissed. The banner is the only thing the warning touches — plan mode itself is
unchanged and still there for you to use.
