v0.47.0
Release Notes — v0.47.0
Minor: The server stops the moment you ask
Pressing Ctrl+C used to leave you watching the cursor for ten seconds. With a UI
tab open the event stream never goes idle, and shutdown waited it out in full
before the port came free.
Shutdown now releases the event streams first — a background tab simply
reconnects to whatever serves next — so the stop finishes as soon as the real
work does, well inside a three-second grace. The rest of the teardown runs side
by side: the MCP servers and the analytics flush stop at the same time instead
of one after the other, and the analytics flush is bounded, so a slow network no
longer holds the exit. The terminal says what is happening, and if the stop is
still taking a moment a second Ctrl+C quits at once.
Minor: A large project waits for your answer before indexing
Ogcode refreshes its project index in the background after each turn. On a
large tree that is a lot of reading you never asked for, so a project with more
than OGCODE_AUTO_INDEX_MAX_FILES (500 by default) indexable files is no longer
indexed automatically until you say yes for it. The turn asks — a dialog, once
per project — and you can change the answer later from Settings → General, where
the same switch is kept. The manual index button is never gated, so a project
you want indexed is indexed the moment you ask for it.
Minor: Search can drive a browser on Windows too
When the deep-search tools come back empty or throttled they fall back to a real
browser. That fallback existed only on macOS, where it drives your own Safari;
Windows now has its own, driving a private headless Chrome — or Edge, whichever
is installed — against a throwaway profile, so a search never touches the
browser you use. The engine-leads choice on Settings → Search names the one that
applies to your machine and hides the one that does not: Safari first on macOS,
Chrome or Edge first on Windows.
Minor: The Ollama slot lists what your endpoint actually serves
Settings → Models no longer mixes a compiled-in cloud catalogue into the Ollama
slot. The list is exactly what the endpoint reports — the models you have pulled,
or a cloud endpoint's own list — so a model that appears there is a model you can
run. Ollama Cloud is still reachable; it now sits on the OpenAI tab as an ordinary
OpenAI-compatible endpoint, grouped as "Ollama Cloud".
Other changes
- Terraform and its siblings are in the code map now:
.tf,.tfvarsand
.hclfiles get a real outline, each block named the way it is addressed
(resource "aws_instance" "web"asaws_instance.web). Like the other
configuration formats, HCL is outlined but not syntax-checked. - The live-preview domain can be set in
ogcode.jsonwith thepreviewDomain
key — the file-config equivalent ofOGCODE_PREVIEW_DOMAIN. A real environment
variable still wins when both are set. - Processes the agent starts — shell commands and MCP servers — now run in their
own session, so nothing they launch can take over the terminal Ogcode was
started from. That was what could leave Ctrl+C aimed at a process group that no
longer existed, and Ogcode impossible to stop from its own terminal. A command
that needs a terminal now fails at once instead. GET /api/configreports the host operating system, so the web UI offers only
the search backends the machine can actually run.
