The biggest release yet — a new name, a complete redesign, two new sync services, and a long stability pass across the whole app.

🎨 NuvioTV is now Orivio — with a full redesign

  • The theme system is gone. All seven themes were removed in favor of one polished, native design used everywhere — no more picking a look, no more per-theme bugs.
  • Liquid Glass navigation rail — a floating translucent sidebar that gets out of the way while you browse; content slides clear of it and tab switches crossfade.
  • New Fusion home — a cinematic hero billboard with rotating spotlight titles (logo, rating, metadata), backdrop art that's pre-warmed so it's never visibly loading, and rebuilt catalog rows.
  • Redesigned details page — fixed title header, full-bleed backdrop, cast row, season/episode picker with raised, sheened episode stills. Pressing Play from home lands directly on the Play button with no focus hopping or icon flashing.
  • Redesigned player — one consistent scrim, the app's own motion curves, and a lighter control HUD.
  • One motion system — focus lift, glow, and control animations all run on shared design tokens, and the system Reduce Motion setting is honored app-wide.

📊 SIMKL support

  • Sign in to SIMKL from Settings (next to Trakt).
  • Watch history, watchlist, and ratings sync both ways.
  • Runs alongside Trakt — use either or both.
  • Every connected service now syncs immediately when something changes locally (finish an episode, rate a title, add to your list) and on any sign-in, instead of waiting for the next timer.

📺 Picture in Picture

  • PiP on Apple TV, on every engine — native, FFmpeg, and Dolby Vision playback can all go picture-in-picture, with play/pause/mute from the PiP window.

🍿 Top Shelf

  • Continue Watching now appears on the tvOS home screen above the app row.
  • Each title shows how far in you are with a progress bar.
  • PIN-locked profiles stay off the Top Shelf — nothing leaks to the home screen.

🚀 Setup & accounts

  • Welcome screen on first launch, with a real path for "Use without an account."
  • Add add-ons from your phone — no more typing manifest URLs with the Siri remote. Default add-ons are guaranteed present.
  • Import a full setup export in one step.
  • Email + password sign-in for both Orivio and Stremio accounts.
  • Added add-ons show their name and logo, not a raw URL.

🗂 Collections

  • Collections always appear on Home; if TMDB/Trakt isn't connected yet, opening one tells you exactly what to set up — either service is enough, and when both are connected TMDB is used for richer artwork and metadata.
  • Each folder explains its own missing connection instead of one generic message for the whole collection.
  • Folder tabs are reachable from anywhere in the grid, and returning from a title no longer reloads the whole collection.
  • Big collections load progressively — the folder you're looking at is fetched first, and tapping an unloaded tab fetches it on demand.
  • Collection focus artwork is on by default on all devices (still configurable in Settings → Performance).

🎬 Player & playback

  • Preferred audio language now works reliably on every engine — including streams that announce their audio tracks late.
  • Commentary and described-video tracks are never auto-selected, on any engine.
  • Faster playback start: source resolution sped up, the source list paints a skeleton immediately, and Real-Debrid polling backs off properly.
  • Auto Link Selector: "Avoid Dolby Vision" is now off by default — the DV pipeline handles profiles 5, 8, and 7 now, so DV sources are fair game for auto-play.
  • Search results are ordered by add-on capability, not by whichever add-on answers first.

⚡ Performance

  • Much faster launch — home paints instantly from cache, one reload instead of several, one store decode per profile.
  • Artwork loading sped up and given per-device memory budgets; full-bleed backdrops are capped on older hardware.
  • Older Apple TVs (HD / 4K gen 1) get tuned defaults: lighter effects, smarter source ranking (codec-aware on the HD), and bigger playback buffers.

🛠 Stability

  • A multi-tier bug audit across the whole app fixed dozens of defects: lost watch progress, sync operations bleeding across profiles, playback state glitches, add-on URL handling, cache scoping, and plugin issues.
  • Fixed the crash/freeze when exiting the player (a memory bug in the PiP bridge).
  • Hold-Select menus (Continue Watching and elsewhere) were audited and fixed — they present reliably now.
  • Fixed the navigation dead-ends: the details page's idle trailer eating remote presses, focus bouncing off the synopsis, and several focus-visibility defects.
  • Dolby Vision engine hardening: end-of-stream handling (the last seconds of a film are no longer cut), seek correctness, and decoder-failure fallback.

Install

Both IPAs are the same unsigned arm64 tvOS build (Apple TV HD / 4K, tvOS 17+); your sideloading tool re-signs on install.

  • OrivioTV-V6.Sideloadly.ipa — for Sideloadly and similar tools. Uses the historical bundle id, so existing installs update in place with data intact.
  • OrivioTV-V6.Sideload.ipa — generic sideload build with the project's own bundle id.
