From 3.0.0 or later, the app offers this update itself as it starts (Settings > Online checks again). Otherwise extract the ZIP and copy the PPSA99360 folder to /data/homebrew/PPSA99360, replacing the old one. Your settings, saves and games in /data/ps5cemu stay as they are.
What's new
PS5CEMU-HAR is now PS5-ECAM, and it plays a fourth system.
Nintendo Switch
- A Switch side beside the Wii U, 3DS and DS, on every theme: Switch games on Eden, through ProsperoEden's PS5 port, which the app starts as
eden/eboot.binand which comes back to the launcher when the game ends. - In the launcher: internal resolution, upscaling, ASTC textures, docked or handheld, vibration and the overlay, for the side and for each game. ProsperoEden's own launcher is one press away (the game menu's Mods, cheats and updates) with mods, cheats, updates and DLC, and profiles.
- Bring your own
prod.keys(andtitle.keys) and firmware, in/data/ps5cemu/eden/keysand/data/ps5cemu/eden/firmware; games go in/data/ps5cemu/eden/roms. The Setup check says what's missing. See the guide.
A new name and a new look
- PS5-ECAM, with a new icon and home screen art: four squares, one for each system.
- Nothing moves: the title ID stays
PPSA99360and everything stays in/data/ps5cemu. Updating from PS5CEMU-HAR works from inside the app as before.
Games in archives (#50)
.zip,.7z,.rarand tar archives show up in the library on the Wii U, 3DS and DS sides. DS games play straight from them; a Wii U or 3DS game is unpacked once, the first time it starts. Thanks to Mafiacoding for the ZIP support this builds on (PR #53).
Files and permissions (#55, #56, #58)
- 3DS games save again, and installed CIAs can be deleted over FTP or from a file manager: every file and folder the app makes is open to every user, and files an older version made are fixed as the app starts. This is what made Animal Crossing: New Leaf start to black screens (#55).
Controls and keyboards
- New buttons on the 3DS and DS sides (Settings > Controls): Touch at the cursor, Fast forward, and Rewind on the DS (#59, #54). None is assigned until you give it a button, so nobody's controls change.
- Keyboards with every Latin language's accented letters (#51), so "cañonazo" can be typed in Wind Waker HD.
Other fixes
- Quit to the library returns to the library on the Wii U and 3DS sides too, instead of closing the app (#60).
- An encrypted 3DS game is refused in the launcher with the reason, instead of closing the app (#57).
- Everything on the app's drive (#52): with a
PS5CEMU-HAR-datafolder at the top of the USB drive or extended storage the app is installed on, nothing is made in/data(how). - 3DS mods: the guide explains why a mod made for another region or version stops a game as it starts (#61).
- Artic Setup needs no keys from you (#45): Azahar's own are built in, as in its official builds. Artic Base also got a fix for connections that failed the moment they started (thanks, dolphin78), but it doesn't work for everyone yet, so #45 stays open.
Notes
- Report problems with the logs from Settings > Diagnostics > Copy logs to USB. Known issues are in the guide.

PS5CEMU-HAR 4.0.1
Download
PS5CEMU-HAR-v4.0.1.zip (52.5 MB), attached below and on the releases branch.

What's new
Fixes for 4.0.0.
Network shares
- SMB shares connect again (#46, #49). Connecting to one crashed the app: libsmb2's AES and Cemu's had the same name, and signing a session called Cemu's. libsmb2's ciphers now have names of their own.
- A share's tab opens in the folder chooser (#49), so a folder on a share can be picked as a games folder in the app.
Nintendo DS
- Sound at the right speed (#47). DS sound crackled and ran too fast because the app took the DS's frame rate as half what it is. The speed shown is now the DS's too (it read 200%).
Leaving a game
- Back to the library on more setups (#48). Leaving a game starts the app over, and some setups refused that restart, so the app closed instead. It now tries every place the app can start from, and says so if none of them works.
- A home screen tile's game says Quit to the home screen in its in-game menu, as it closes the app afterwards.
Artic Base and Artic Setup (#45)
- Artic Setup says which keys it needs before it starts. The app builds no keys in, so the setup needs
otpKeyandotpIV(under:AES) androotPublicXY(under:ECC) inaes_keys.txtfrom your own console, in/data/ps5cemu/azahar/sysdata. Without them it copied everything and then failed with "Some console unique data is invalid". - Artic Base connections time out instead of hanging, and a 3DS that closes the connection no longer ends the app.
- After a failed Artic load, the connection is closed and the app starts over cleanly, once any update check still on the network is done.
- Clearer errors: a 3DS that answered and then stopped is told apart from one that never answered, with Azahar's own message when it has one.
- Copy logs to USB includes Azahar's log of the session before (
azahar_log.old.txt), which is where a 3DS game's failure ends up once the app has started over.
Notes
- Report problems with the logs from Settings > Diagnostics > Copy logs to USB. Known issues are in the guide.
Thanks
FenrisSkoll, CatchMeZZo and EverlongNZ (#46, #49), TimStoecker (#47), CorpseSlayer (#48) and Phononenom (#45) for the reports and the testing.

Highlights
- 31 languages: every language the PS5 has. The launcher, Settings and the in-game menus, translated into 30 new languages (nearly 39,000 translated lines), and even your games' names in your language.
- Nintendo DS games, on melonDS: a third system beside the Wii U and the 3DS.
- Your games on the PS5 home screen: Add to home screen gives any game a tile of its own that starts it straight away.
- Wii U mods from a USB drive, with a step-by-step guide.
- Eight launcher themes, and the original 2.0 launcher is back as Classic.
- Play from your PC or NAS over the network (SMB or NFS).
- RetroAchievements for DS games.
- Faster Wii U games: Breath of the Wild is back near 60 fps at 1440p, and holds 60 more often at 4K.
- Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon look right.
What's new
31 languages
PS5CEMU-HAR now speaks every language the PS5 offers. Every screen, setting, message and in-game menu is translated, all 1,434 lines of it, in each language:
- English: UK and US
- Europe: German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, Greek, Turkish, Finnish, Swedish, Danish and Norwegian
- The Americas: French (Canada), Spanish (Latin America) and Portuguese (Brazil)
- Asia: Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Thai, Vietnamese and Indonesian
- Middle East: Arabic, laid out right to left
The app follows the PS5's language, or pick one in Settings > Language. Games show their own name in your language where they have one (Wii U and 3DS games in up to twelve languages, DS games in six to eight). Search and the compatibility list still find them by their English name. Arabic is shaped and right to left in the in-game menus too, and Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Thai wrap the way they should.
Nintendo DS (melonDS)
- DS games run on melonDS, with its recompiler, as a green side to the right of the 3DS.
- No BIOS needed: melonDS's own replacement is built in, and your DS BIOS and firmware dumps are used when they're in
melonds/bios. - Screen layouts, borders and scaling filters, save states, and the touch screen on the touchpad or on your phone.
- Game information, box art and names for DS games from GameTDB.
Home screen tiles
- Add to home screen, in a game's Options menu, makes the game a tile of its own on every side: the tile's picture is the game's box art, and starting it opens the game directly and closes the app afterwards.
- Tiles use the open PS5 Forwarder Format, so Forwarder Manager can edit them. ShadowMount Plus puts them on the home screen; they need elfldr running, which the tile uses to start the game.
- Works without a HEN: when the app can't write to
/data/homebrewitself, a small helper run through elfldr puts the tile there.
Wii U
- Mods from a USB drive: put mods in
ps5cemu/modson a USB drive, then use Add mods from USB in a game's Options or Settings > Game files > Mods from USB. Each mod appears on its game's Graphic packs page, off until you turn it on. Mods shared without arules.txtare handled too. See the mods guide. - Updates and DLC found on your drives: listed by game with what's installed now; install one with a press, or every new one at once. Installs copy four files at a time, and stopping puts back what was there.
- Accounts (#39): up to twelve Wii U accounts, each with its own saves, or one for each PS5 user.
- AMD FSR 1 as an Upscaling to 4K filter.
- Rumble works (#41), on the GamePad and the Pro Controller (#25) alike.
- Skylanders Giants starts (#29): players 2 to 4 only get a controller in a game while their DualSense is on, and figures are picked from a list. Skylanders, Disney Infinity and LEGO Dimensions portals no longer crash the app.
- Super Smash Bros. for Wii U no longer closes while its shaders compile.
Nintendo 3DS
- The Pokémon games are drawn right (#23): no more black dots and lines on the models, broken shadows or wrong colours in Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Their 3D runs on the CPU (Hardware shaders off, in Settings > Graphics and in each game's settings).
- Outline fix, for other games that show moving black dots on outlined models.
- Shaders are compiled the way desktop Azahar compiles them (Async shader compile is off by default, so nothing is drawn half-built).
- Games whose shaders run on the CPU no longer stop after a while.
- Azahar's latest fixes: Vulkan colour blending, xBRZ, CIA installs, 3GX plugins.
aes_keys.txtwith Windows line endings now loads, and a cancelled CIA install puts back what was there.
All systems
- Network shares (#43): add SMB or NFS shares in Settings > Game files > Network shares, and play games from your PC or NAS. Each share is a tab in the folder browser.
- RetroAchievements for DS games: sign in with Settings > Online > RetroAchievements on the DS side. Unlocks show as PS5 notifications, and the in-game menu lists them.
- Remote touch screen (#38): use your phone's browser as the Wii U GamePad's, 3DS's or DS's touch screen by scanning a QR code, from Settings or any game's menu.
- Saves: each game's saves and save states on one page, plus Back up to USB and Restore from USB for every system.
- Controls (#37): giving a button an input another one uses swaps the two, A and B are one choice, a turbo button, and the touchpad's click can be any Wii U button. Cemu's shader notices can be hidden.
Launcher
- Themes: Link Jack (the new default), Classic (the original 2.0 launcher, back with everything added since), Eden (in the style of ProsperoEden), Meyer Oscar and Meyer Oscar Light, Midnight (true black for OLED), and two experiments, Phantom and Terminal. Or make your own in
/data/ps5cemu/themes. - Make it yours: the first start sets your language, systems, theme, buttons, music and vibration. After an update the app shows what's new, once.
- Pick your systems: show any mix of Wii U, 3DS and DS (Settings > Launcher).
- Each system opens on its Library with your last game in focus. The app always opens on the system you used last.
- Game settings: any game can have its own graphics, screen, sound and system settings (Options on the game, then Game settings).
- Settings shows only the system you're on, as one short list.
- Your own music in the launcher (MP3 or WAV), one track or all of them shuffled.
- Box art keeps trying when the network is slow to start. Settings > Online can download missing box art, or all of it again.
- One keyboard everywhere, with Shift, capitals and symbols.
- A new look for the app's tile, home screen background and banner, with all three systems.
- A support link in Settings > About.
Performance
- Breath of the Wild back near 60 fps at 1440p (3.5.0 ran it at 54–55): Cemu's clock runs on the CPU's own timer again.
- Smoother at 4K: the graphics driver submits work on a thread of its own, the clocks come from the CPU's timer, and the emulated CPU cores wait less on each other. In the console test, Breath of the Wild at 4K held 60 fps where it ran 57–59, and its lowest dips while moving rose from 49 to 56 fps. Each change can be switched off in
ps5cemu.json. - The shader cache works under a HEN: pipelines are no longer compiled again on every start.
- A quicker start: the app goes straight to the launcher (a HEN is only asked when the app needs one), and Cemu's library loads in the background.
Fixes
- Starting a game right after opening the app no longer leaves a black screen while the update check waits on the network.
- The app starts again on older firmwares and on kstuff + ShadowMount Plus setups (#34), and finds its own folder on more installs (#40).
- Downloads work again: box art, the update check, RetroAchievements and the community graphic packs all failed before.
- A GPU fault that could freeze the whole console was fixed in the driver.
- If the launcher can't start, the notification says why.
Notes
- Home screen tiles need elfldr running (it's what starts the game), and ShadowMount Plus to show them on the home screen. To remove a tile, use Remove from home screen in the game's Options menu.
- Your
ps5cemu.jsonkeeps the settings you changed. The new performance options are on unless your file turns them off. - Load your HEN with PPSA99360 in its app jailbreak list if your setup needs one (setup guide). The Setup check and Settings > Diagnostics show what the app got.
- Known issues and what each game does are in the guide and the compatibility list. Report problems with the logs from Settings > Diagnostics > Copy logs to USB.

PS5CEMU-HAR 3.5.0
Download
PS5CEMU-HAR-v3.5.0.zip (47.0 MB), from the releases branch.
SHA-256: 0bfa96b6cc9662449a7c0554d93fbaa106437a281a60c93a1a837917028e873c
On 3.0.0, the app offers this update itself as it starts (Settings > Online and updates checks again). Otherwise extract the ZIP and copy the PPSA99360 folder to /data/homebrew/PPSA99360, replacing the old one. Your settings, saves and games in /data/ps5cemu stay as they are.
What's new
- One launcher for both sides. It opens on the Home of the side you used last, a touchpad click switches between Wii U and 3DS, and Settings holds both sides' pages. The Library has filters, sorting, search and jump by letter, and each game has a page with its details and graphic packs. There's no start screen to pick a side any more (Settings > Display > Start on brings back a chooser if you want one).
- Setup check: on the first start and in Settings, what's ready (storage, the recompilers, each side's games and keys, the 3DS's system files, box art), what to do about the rest, and a QR code to the guide.
- New in-game menus in the launcher's look: the game's cover, four quick actions (Wii U: Resume, Screens, Graphic packs, Amiibo; 3DS: Resume, Save state, Load state, Screens), each category's current value, and a volume slider. Quitting and loading a state are held to confirm.
- 3DS save states from earlier builds load. Every state made by an earlier PS5CEMU-HAR build used to say "Made by another version"; now they load. Loading a state also no longer crashes the app now and then.
- A newer graphics driver: 120 Hz output that reaches the games, and frame pacing that holds a Wii U game to an even 60 fps at 120 Hz or 30 fps at 60 Hz (Settings > Graphics).
- The release ZIP installs as it is. Every file in it can run, so a file manager that keeps the ZIP's permissions no longer installs an app the PS5 refuses with CE-107750-0 (#22).
- Install it on EXT 1 or USB: the app finds its files wherever ShadowMountPlus mounts it from, and updates and the restart after each game use that copy (#22, #26).
- 3DS games with a cheat file start instead of closing the app (#20).
- Graphic packs that replace game files no longer close the app as the game starts (#24).
- Pokémon X and Y's moving black dots: a switch to try,
"invariantPosition": truein then3dssection of/data/ps5cemu/ps5cemu.json(#23). Please say in #23 whether it helps. - A firmware and setup guide for any PS5 that runs homebrew: docs/HEN-SETUP.md.
Notes
- Save states made by 3.5.0 don't load in older versions.
- Load your HEN with PPSA99360 in its app jailbreak list (setup guide). The Setup check and Settings > Diagnostics show what the app got.
- Known issues and what each game does are in the README and the compatibility list. Report problems with the logs from Settings > Diagnostics > Copy logs to USB.
PS5CEMU-HAR 3.0.0
Download
PS5CEMU-HAR-v3.0.0.zip (50.2 MB), from the releases branch.
SHA-256: 26c67eb0bcfc2fcb9a4aab0d2aa77382d7d09847aadb036412f1be422d490bbb
Extract it and copy the PPSA99360 folder to /data/homebrew/PPSA99360, replacing the old one. Your settings, saves and games in /data/ps5cemu stay as they are. From 3.0.0 on, the app offers each new release itself and installs it.
What's new
- Updates from inside the app. When a newer release is out, the app asks whether to install it: it downloads the release, checks its SHA-256, puts its files in place and starts again as the new version. Settings > Online and updates > PS5CEMU-HAR updates checks again.
- A new launcher. Box art first and fewer words: Home, Library and Settings along the top (L1 and R1), a grid of covers, and a page for each game with its description, developer, publisher, release date and rating from GameTDB, and its status from the compatibility list. Home shows your games' icons.
- New in-game menus: a panel on the left with the game's box art and details, its settings in categories that open in place.
- Graphic packs in the Wii U in-game menu: turn packs on and off and change their presets while the game runs, as Cemu's Graphic Packs window does (packs that replace textures apply at the next start).
- Skylanders, Disney Infinity and LEGO Dimensions on Cemu's emulated portals: switch one on in Settings > USB devices, put your figure dumps in
/data/ps5cemu/figures, and put figures on and take them off from the in-game menu (#18). - 3DS: the game pauses while its menu is open; the 3DS Home Menu (Settings > System, after Artic Setup); a CIA install can be canceled with Circle; a PS5CEMU-HAR border; and 3DS games run on Azahar's interpreter where the console refuses the recompiler's memory, instead of not at all.
- Wii U: the GamePad's sound on the DualSense's speaker (Settings > Audio); a Wii Remote pointer from the touchpad or the DualSense's gyro; the community graphic packs updated from GitHub (Settings > Online).
- New home screen art and icon on the PS5, in the banner's design.
Notes
- Load your HEN with PPSA99360 in its app jailbreak list (HEN setup guide). Settings > Diagnostics shows whether it was jailbroken and where the recompilers' memory comes from.
- A real Skylanders portal plugged into the PS5 isn't supported: the emulated portals take figure dumps.
- Known issues and what each game does are in the README and the compatibility list. Report problems with the logs from Settings > Diagnostics > Copy logs to USB.
PS5CEMU-HAR 2.0.0 D
Download
PS5CEMU-HAR-v2.0.0d.zip (48.8 MB), from the releases branch.
SHA-256: 17d210f2d454c13d481fdddd8023552069b432ae3cbee6c3aababdc4e04cf087
Extract it and copy the PPSA99360 folder to /data/homebrew/PPSA99360, replacing the old one. Your settings, saves and games in /data/ps5cemu stay as they are.
What's new
- Breath of the Wild's runes fixed. Magnesis, the other runes and the Sheikah scope no longer freeze the game (#10).
- Batman: Arkham Origins plays, with its 60 FPS graphic pack turned off (#15).
- 3DS borders: Midnight, Waves, Aurora and Shell, around the screens in every layout. Settings > Borders, or Border in the 3DS in-game menu.
- 3DS save states, cheats and amiibo in the in-game menu: five save state slots per game, cheats on and off, amiibo scanning.
- Wii U amiibo in the in-game menu. Both sides read your dumps from
/data/ps5cemu/amiibo. - More settings: Async shader compile (Wii U), Custom textures and Language (3DS).
- No restart when switching from the Wii U side to the 3DS side. The two emulators still never run at the same time.
- Update notice: a notification tells you when a newer PS5CEMU-HAR is out.
- Any HEN: the HEN setup guide covers etaHEN, OnionHEN and any HEN with an ELF loader. For OnionHEN, put no comma after
PPSA99360inexact_title_ids(#12). - Logs from the last five sessions are kept, so a crash's logs survive restarting the app.
- The version shows on the start screen and in both launchers.
Notes
- Arkham Origins' 60 FPS graphic pack still makes the game glitch and crash; leave it off for now.
- Save states are tied to the app version that made them. Keep saving in the game too.
- etaHEN is the most tested HEN. Reports from OnionHEN and other HENs are welcome.
- Please report problems with the bug report form and attach the logs from Settings > Diagnostics > Copy logs to USB.
PS5CEMU-HAR 2.0.0 C
Download
PS5CEMU-HAR-v2.0.0c.zip (48.1 MB), from the releases branch.
SHA-256: 9cbf61a11aa3b552a7e4c120bc01e6f3ab0813ad8c657f28bd2a7c6cc72f9a52
Extract it and copy the PPSA99360 folder over /data/homebrew/PPSA99360 (see Install). Everything in /data/ps5cemu is kept.
What's new
- A new launcher look: the Lexend font, glass panels, pill buttons, a clock bar, and a home screen with your last game, recent games and the features coming next.
- Music and menu sounds, PS5CEMU-HAR's own, set in Settings > Audio.
- Any HEN: both recompilers now make their own executable memory, so Wii U games run on Cemu's recompiler without etaHEN's JIT grant (#11, #12).
- USB and extended storage: drives a HEN leaves out are opened with the bundled helper (#16), and plugged-in drives are listed first in the folder browser.
- One emulator at a time: only the side you choose starts, and box art and game scans stop before a game starts.
- 3DS on-screen keyboard for games that ask for a name or other text.
- 3DS region in Settings > System (#17).
- 3DS in-game menu: a speed limit to fast-forward; going back to the library no longer waits on a slow shutdown.
- Wii U in-game menu: a Graphics page with Accurate barriers and Async shader compile.
- Diagnostics: the firmware, Copy logs to USB, Clear shader caches. Settings > Online and updates turns box art off.
- Clearer problems: an out-of-memory message, the CPU mode and game profile in the boot log (#15), crash reports on the 3DS side, a bug report form and a compatibility list.
- Under the hood: GPU image copies kept inside their images, guard pages under game-thread stacks, desktop floating-point rules.
Notes
- Known issue: Breath of the Wild freezes, then closes, when Magnesis, other runes or the Sheikah scope highlight objects (a GPU timeout, #10). A fix is being worked on.
- Known issue: only etaHEN is supported and tested so far. Other HENs should work now that the app makes its own recompiler memory, but they haven't been tested.
- Please report problems with the bug report form and attach the logs (Settings > Diagnostics > Copy logs to USB).
v2.0.0b
Wii U and Nintendo 3DS emulation in one PS5 homebrew app. 2.0.0 B adds Artic Base and fixes 3DS sound, a 3DS memory leak and a Breath of the Wild crash.
Download
PS5CEMU-HAR-v2.0.0b.zip (42 MB) is the PPSA99360 app folder. Extract it and copy PPSA99360 to /data/homebrew/PPSA99360 on your PS5. Copying over 2.0.0 is fine: everything in /data/ps5cemu is kept. New to the app? Follow the install steps.
SHA-256: bee515b25a41c75e5ca8f216ccf7db24e21938443b730844a38385dba0863460
What's new in 2.0.0 B
- Artic Base. Play games from your own 3DS over the network. Start the Artic Base app on the 3DS, choose Artic Base on the 3DS home screen (or press Triangle), enter the address the 3DS shows and connect. The same page runs the Artic Setup Tool, which copies your 3DS's system files into Azahar.
- 3DS sound fixed. Sound played at the wrong rate, too high and warbling. It's now resampled properly to the PS5's 48 kHz, and it no longer crackles when a game gets busy.
- 3DS memory leak fixed. Opening a system applet (the keyboard, an error screen) used to leak memory every time. It's now freed when the applet closes.
- CIA installs: clearer messages (only decrypted CIA files can be installed), and installed demos now show up in the library.
- 3DS in-game menu: the button that closes the menu no longer reaches the game, and there's a new CPU clock setting that can bring a slow game up to full speed.
- Wii U shader caches from another Cemu no longer crash the game. Breath of the Wild could crash while loading a shared cache. Entries this Cemu can't read are now skipped and rebuilt when needed.
- Wii U in-game menu: Cemu's Accurate barriers setting, on by default as in Cemu.
- Better logs: frame-rate lines for both emulators, a 3DS frame-time breakdown in the performance overlay, shader cache loading progress, and Cemu crash reports in the boot log.
Notes
- 3DS support is still new and hasn't had much testing on real hardware.
- Encrypted 3DS games need your own
aes_keys.txtin/data/ps5cemu/azahar/sysdata. Decrypted dumps don't. - No games, keys or firmware are included. Dump them from hardware and software you own.
