ClickShift 1.1.0

ClickShift 1.1 makes setup easier, shifting safer, and the app feel at home on modern macOS.

What’s new

  • Added a guided first-run setup for choosing a riding app, checking Bluetooth and Accessibility permissions, and finding the right-hand Zwift Click v2.
  • Added a safety mode that sends shift keys only while the selected riding app is focused. It is enabled by default.
  • Added configurable Click buttons and keyboard outputs for shift up and shift down.
  • Added 1, 2, or 3 virtual gear shifts per button press.
  • Added profiles for MyWhoosh, Zwift, IndieVelo, ROUVY, and custom applications.
  • Improved remembered-controller reconnection and added clear guidance when the right Click needs to be woken.
  • Added consistent session states for waiting, searching, connecting, connected, stopped, and permission problems.
  • Added privacy-safe diagnostics export. Reports exclude accounts, ride data, and controller identifiers.
  • Added optional notifications for meaningful connection and permission events.
  • Added connection-aware menu-bar icon colors: gray while idle, orange while searching, green when connected, and red when attention is needed.
  • Redesigned the menu-bar panel and Settings window with cleaner native macOS spacing and controls.
  • Added a standard Settings command with the Command-, keyboard shortcut.

Default MyWhoosh controls

  • Right Click + → K → shift up
  • Right Click B → I → shift down

Button and key assignments can be changed under Settings → Controls.

Requirements

  • macOS 13 Ventura or later
  • Apple Silicon or Intel Mac
  • Right-hand Zwift Click v2
  • A riding application that supports keyboard shifting

Installation

  1. Download ClickShift-v1.1.0-macOS-universal.zip.
  2. Unzip it and move ClickShift.app to /Applications.
  3. Open ClickShift and complete the Setup Assistant.
  4. Allow Bluetooth and Accessibility access when prompted.
  5. Keep Open ClickShift when I log in enabled for automatic riding-app detection.

The app is ad-hoc signed but not Apple-notarized. If macOS blocks the first launch, open System Settings → Privacy & Security, choose Open Anyway, and confirm.
