Bug description

I am trying to connect to MySQL data : 5.7.33 and it is failing with below error.:

Environment variables loaded from .env
Prisma schema loaded from prisma\schema.prisma
Datasource "db": MySQL database "db" at "host:port"

Error: Migration engine error:
Error querying the database: Unknown authentication plugin `sha256_password'.

@janpio Thanks for letting me know it is not a bug,

but when I tried to connect with database using other libraries like TypeORM, it worked. I really want prisma team to look and let me know what is issue.

As I mentioned before:

Using MySQL version 5.7.33 with below config/flag enabled:

@pimeys, @janpio I will suggest to use mysql2(https://www.npmjs.com/package/mysql2) as dependcy as resolves problem related to Pluggable Authentication.

Major ORMs like(Sequelize, typeorm and knex) are using mysql2(or giving option to user to switch between mysql or mysql2).
