Privatar Android 0.0.32 — Didit Sandbox pilot

Choose a tag to compare

@privatar privatar released this 18 Oct 09:12

Android test build for the Privatar Didit identity-verification pilot.

  • Separate document type, verification method and country selection; Didit-hosted document capture, passive liveness and face matching.
  • This APK connects to a temporary Sandbox broker. Use Didit's built-in sample documents and test data. The temporary broker must remain online, and a private single-use invitation is required.
  • Sandbox outcomes never grant production identity-verification assurance. No production verification has been enabled in this APK.
  • APK signature, application ID, version, arm64 ABI, alignment and size checks passed. The APK uses the existing signing certificate and can update the earlier Android installation.

Physical capture and biometric validation on Samsung S22 remain pending. Provider API keys and webhook signing secrets are server-side only.

Android 0.0.22 and Chrome extension 0.1.5

@privatar privatar released this 15 Oct 09:19

Android 0.0.22 includes the DUST display limited to two decimal places and SDK 0.1.4 connection fixes, including disconnect notifications for late subscribers. Internal balance precision is preserved. The Android application ID and signing identity are unchanged; versionCode is 22. Install over the existing app without uninstalling.

This release also distributes the exact Chrome extension 0.1.5 ZIP submitted to Google. It improves panel stability during synchronization, uses the Privatar blue controls, supports Mainnet capability discovery and detects missed revocation events. The Chrome Web Store currently serves 0.1.4 while 0.1.5 awaits Google review with automatic publication after approval. The extension ZIP can be extracted and loaded manually for preview.

SDK 0.1.4 is published and verified as npm latest; the downloaded registry tarball matches the validated local package. All workspace TypeScript checks pass; 250 tests passed with two optional external-service tests skipped. The extension ZIP matches the current build byte-for-byte. Physical-device biometrics and funded Mainnet acceptance are separate checks.

@privatar privatar released this 15 Oct 09:00

DUST balances, capacity, available amounts and generation rate now display at most two decimal places in the Android wallet. Internal balance precision and synchronization behavior are preserved.

Install this signed update over the existing app without uninstalling. The application ID and signing identity are unchanged; Android versionCode is 21.

This remains the Android preview channel. Physical-device installation and biometrics have not been revalidated for this exact APK.

Validation: 248 tests passed, two optional external-service tests skipped, workspace TypeScript checks and signed APK identity checks passed.

Privatar Android 0.0.20 — QR sending and sync improvements

@privatar privatar released this 14 Oct 20:42

Privatar Android 0.0.20 preview

Sending is easier to prepare: scan the recipient's QR code, and see a clear instruction when the wallet is waiting for its connection, balance or spendable DUST.

  • Scan a receive-address QR from Send. Privatar validates its checksum, Midnight network and shielded or unshielded address type. Scanning only fills the recipient; reviewing the amount and fee and confirming remain separate actions.
  • Review transfer stays unavailable while required data, spendable assets or usable DUST are missing. You can keep editing the draft while synchronization continues. Ordinary transfers can proceed during partial sync when their inputs and fees are usable.
  • Android background synchronization uses a foreground notification and encrypted checkpoints. Resume after opening and authenticating if Android pauses or stops the work.
  • Eligible NIGHT registration starts automatically after unshielded synchronization and enough registration-fee generation; it no longer waits for the full DUST history.
  • Engine recovery and checkpoint compatibility improve update resilience. The release helper pins the existing package and signing identity and prevents version-code regressions.

Installation

Download privatar-0.0.20.apk below and install it over the existing Privatar app. Do not uninstall the existing wallet to update it. Keep your recovery phrase backed up privately and never share it.

Android 7.0 or newer; arm64-v8a and armeabi-v7a. Application ID: dev.privatar.runtimeLab; version code: 20. The signing certificate matches the previous distributed APKs.

Verification and preview limits

248 automated tests passed, two optional external-service tests were skipped, and TypeScript checks and signed APK verification passed. The 0.0.18-to-0.0.19 emulator upgrade probe preserved its dedicated encrypted test record and key and reproduced the interrupted-boot repair included in 0.0.20. QR parsing and Send states were exercised with synthetic data.

This is an early Android preview. Physical-camera reading, physical-device biometrics and background behavior, and funded Mainnet transactions with this exact build remain separate acceptance checks. Android battery policy, force-stop, reboot and dataSync time limits can pause synchronization; reopening and authenticating resumes from a saved checkpoint. DUST balance discovery and generation depend on network progress and eligible registered NIGHT.

Privatar Android 0.0.15 and Chrome extension 0.1.4

@privatar privatar released this 11 Oct 17:11

Privatar Android 0.0.15 configures Midnight Preprod through Blockfrost following retirement of Midnight's public Preprod endpoints. This build also retains the configured Mainnet provider and free public Preview access. Select the intended network in Settings → Network.

Existing Preprod sync checkpoints are rebuilt for the new provider; recovery data and wallet addresses are preserved. The first sync can take time. Wallet import is available through the existing Restore wallet flow with a valid 12- or 24-word recovery phrase.

The signed APK retains the existing Android signing identity and increases the version code to 15. Preprod HTTP node/indexer access and both WebSocket streams passed, as did ledger-parameter compatibility, token inclusion, signature and ZIP alignment checks. Mainnet provider access remains verified. Physical-phone installation and a funded transaction with this build remain pending.

Chrome extension 0.1.4 includes the configured Blockfrost Preprod access and the updated provider endpoints. The ZIP has manifest.json at its root and contains the bundled runtime, proving material and assets. It is provided for manual installation. Its Chrome Web Store upload and Google review are separate from this binary release; the last verified public Store version was 0.1.0 on 10 October 2026.

Privatar Android 0.0.14 — Mainnet access

@privatar privatar released this 11 Oct 14:31

Privatar Android 0.0.14 configures Midnight Mainnet access and enables reviewed Mainnet transactions for connected sites. Preview remains available through Midnight's public network endpoints.

Every transaction still requires wallet review and approval. Mainnet HTTP access, live WebSocket connections and ledger compatibility are verified; 213 automated tests pass with two environment-gated skips.

Install this APK as an update, then select Settings → Network → Mainnet or Preview. Preprod access remains unavailable in this build. Physical-phone installation and a funded Mainnet transaction remain pending validation.

This release updates Android only. The existing Chrome extension release remains available separately.

@privatar privatar released this 10 Oct 15:53

Privatar Android 0.0.13 and Chrome extension 0.1.3 preview.

  • Synchronization appears at the top of both wallets, collapsed by default, with one discreet global progress bar. Expand for Shielded, Unshielded and DUST details.
  • Ordinary transfers can be prepared and submitted before full synchronization when the selected asset and DUST state can build usable inputs, proof and fees. Explicit approval, recipient/network validation, expiring reviews, signing and fee checks remain enforced.
  • Extension connections, SDK transport selection, partial balances and synchronization are documented at https://docs.privatar.app.
  • Chrome startup and local deletion fixes are included.

Typechecks and 202 automated tests pass with two existing skips. Disposable unfunded Chrome wallet checks pass creation, connection approval, server-verified sign-in, revocation, lock, restart, recovery, proof-worker startup and deletion without page or CSP errors.

Physical-phone and funded early-sync transfer acceptance remain pending. No iOS release is included. Chrome 0.1.3 is a distribution package awaiting separate Chrome Web Store upload, review and publication; Google's update service still serves 0.1.0 as of this release.
