AMD control panel hot fix plus other features no one asked for
0.1.2 — AMD Hot Fix plus features no one asked for
2026-10-07
Added
- Added settings toggle for opting in for gamebar installation during updates.
- Added Game Bar layout editing: rearrange the Game Bar widget's tabs and the controls in them from Settings ▸ General ▸ Game Bar layout (or "Edit layout in HandheldHorizons" in the widget's page menu). The widget picks up the change the next time Game Bar opens, with no restart. A saved layout keeps its cards when a later update changes the built-in one; Reset Game Bar layout goes back to the default.
- Phone web page usercontrol with toggle and QR dialog box for quick connection.
- Auto check for updates setting in the settings page. If enabled a notification happens on the screen letting the user know there is a new update.
Fixed
- Fixed bug where AMD control panel features were showing as "Driver not responding". This was due to the daemon acting in the system space, and the ADLX connection requires user session space.
- Gamebar updates are pushed immeidately to the gamebar, it doesn't wait for the plugin to close.
- All pages now immediately focuses on the widget without having to press A to click into it.
Changed
- Dpad down as well as A now navigate down in a horizontal tab layout.
- Added close game button to "This Game" widget
Handheld Horizons 0.1.1: Hot fix and new features
Added
- Added quick eddit on the active-profile dropdowns: a pencil button beside each one (or X on a controller) opens a small dialog with that profile's most-used settings, so TDP, fan, gyro, RGB and the rest can be tweaked and saved without opening the full editor. Controller and FPS profiles show what each button is mapped to, so you can check a paddle mid-game; remapping is still done in the full editor.
- Added support for Amazon Games to the library scanner. Needs user testing to confirm its capability.
- Added AutoTDP!
- Achievements: 44 things to unlock by trying the app's features and by playing, three of them secret, each worth points toward a score. Open the list from the menu or from Settings ▸ Achievements, and you get a notice the moment you earn one. Some secret achievements unlock a theme preset you can apply straight from that notice. You can show your score in the info bar next to the battery, or switch achievements off entirely in Settings. Switching them off pauses tracking and keeps everything you've already earned. Your achievements survive uninstalling and Reset all.
Fixed
- Fixed bug where HID Hide was not showing the controller when minimizing or launching a game after a sudden application or computer crash.
- Fixed bug where control meta data text was skipped being added to a control's viewmodel in the quick access menu when edited through the editor page (standard page loading is unaffected)
- Fixed bug where nav menu would not close after clicking the nav menu open button unless that button was clicked again.
- Fixed bug where the home page would display the bottom half of the first sectoin and top of second section.
- Fixed bug where system charge rate was unavailable after start due to being on wall power. System charge rate should show anytime you are off the charger.
- Fixed bug where legion go display orientation was shown incorrectly
Changed
- Performance metrics overlay editor got a makeover to make it easier to add metrics.

Installing
- Download
HandheldHorizons-SystemSetup-0.1.0.exebelow and run it. - Install PawnIO when Setup asks if you want TDP control.
- The installer isn't code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn you. Choose More info ▸ Run anyway.
Requires 64-bit Windows Windows 11, and administrator rights.
Legion Go owners: Handheld Horizons detects Legion Space and offers to turn it off, because running both causes controller conflicts.
Known limitations
- This is the first public build. Expect rough edges, especially on devices other than the Legion Go.
- The installer is not code-signed yet.
Reporting bugs
Open an issue with your device, Windows version, what happened, and the logs from C:\ProgramData\HandheldHorizons\logs and %LocalAppData%\HandheldHorizons\logs.
