This is the standalone Windows release of the 3D Printer to 2D Pen Plotter Mod software. It allows you to convert text, handwriting, line art, and images into optimized G-code ready to run on any 3D printer or CNC machine.

⚠️ CRITICAL SAFETY NOTE: Homing & Pen Placement Workflow

DO NOT insert the pen before homing!
During auto-homing (G28), your printer will drive the nozzle down to trigger the Z-endstop or ABL probe. If the pen is already mounted lower than the nozzle, it will crash into the bed and break the pen or damage the plate.

✅ Safe Operating Procedure:

  1. Remove or raise the pen from the holder.
  2. Start the print on your 3D printer.
  3. The printer will perform Auto-Home (G28) and automatically raise the Z-axis to a safe clearance height (e.g. Z = 30 mm) and wait.
  4. Insert and clamp your pen into the holder while the printhead is elevated.
  5. The machine will then safely lower the pen to your calibrated drawing height and begin plotting.

🚀 Quick Start Guide

  1. Download GCodePlotter_v1.0_Windows_x64.zip from the Assets section below.
  2. Extract / Unzip the folder anywhere on your PC.
  3. Open the folder and double-click GCodePlotter.exe.
  4. Configure your printer's bed size and pen offset in the Settings tab.
  5. Type your text or drop an image, preview the toolpath, and click Generate G-Code!
  6. Put the generated .gcode file onto your 3D printer's SD card / OctoPrint and start plotting.

📐 Calibration Guide: Finding Your Machine Values

1. Finding Your Pen Touch Z Height

  1. Mount your pen into your 3D printer toolhead bracket.
  2. Home your printer axes (G28).
  3. Place your paper/notebook on the bed and tape the corners down securely.
  4. Using your printer's control screen (or terminal), jog the Z-axis down slowly (in 0.1 mm increments) until the pen tip just touches the paper with gentle pressure.
  5. Read the Z coordinate on your printer screen (e.g., 9.40 mm).
    • Enter this value into Pen Touch Z (mm) in the app.
    • Set Z-Hop (mm) to 3.0 mm (height lifted between strokes).

2. Finding Toolhead Mount Offsets (X / Y Offsets)

If your pen is mounted to the side or front of your extruder nozzle:

  1. Jog your printer until the pen tip is at the front-left corner of your bed (0, 0).
  2. Look at the coordinates displayed on your printer screen:
    • X Offset: If your nozzle is at X = 0, Offset X is 0.0 mm.
    • Y Offset: If your pen is mounted in front of the nozzle, note the difference (e.g., 49.5 mm).
    • Enter these into the Offset X and Offset Y fields in the app.

3. Notebook / Ruled Page Alignment

If writing onto a lined notebook:

  • Notebook Mode: Enable Notebook Mode in the app.
  • Margin Position: Set the distance from page edge to red line (typically 30.0 mm).
  • Line Spacing: Set your notebook ruled line gap (standard is 8.0 mm or 9.0 mm).

4. PCB Prototyping

process : upload svg circuit diagram to program
edit the pcb positioning & traces positioning
use a high quality water-proff pernament marker to draw traces via 3d printer
after traces are drawn , etich the copper board in fecl3 simply for 12-15mins
