JollyFin is pschmitt's fork of Findroid, a third-party native Android/Android TV client for Jellyfin — with added features such as Sonarr/Radarr integration.
This project is in its early stages so expect bugs.
Install and auto-update JollyFin via Obtainium pointed at this repository, or grab an APK directly from the Releases page.
The badge tracks the phone/release APK (applicationId dev.pschmitt.jollyfin, no
.debug suffix, arch auto-selected) from the "latest"
pre-release build. Want the TV build or a debuggable variant instead? Add the app normally in
Obtainium via this repo's URL and adjust the APK filter regex/prerelease settings, or just grab
the specific APK from the Releases page.
Managing apps declaratively with declaroid instead? Add:
- name: JollyFin
pkg: dev.pschmitt.jollyfin
store: github
repo: pschmitt/jollyfin- Native interface for phone and Android TV, browsing movies, series, seasons, and episodes (direct play only, no transcoding)
- Offline downloads for playback on the road, with auto-download rules that keep watching a show (and auto-delete after watching), plus manual import of files already on disk
- Playback via ExoPlayer or mpv, with broad codec support (H.264/H.265/H.266, VP8/VP9/AV1, DTS/TrueHD/AC-3, styled SSA/ASS subtitles, and more) and optional software decoding fallback
- Picture-in-picture mode
- Media chapters with timeline markers and chapter navigation gestures
- Trickplay (Jellyfin 10.9+) and media segment skip/auto-skip (Jellyfin 10.10+)
- Sonarr/Radarr integration: upcoming-release calendar and download queue status
- Jellyseerr/Overseerr integration: discover and request media that isn't in your library yet, right from search
- Remote management of other JollyFin instances on your account: push auto-download rules or one-off downloads to another of your own devices without touching it directly
- QR-code device provisioning: scan a code from an already-configured instance to set up a new device's Jellyfin/Sonarr/Radarr/Seerr connection in seconds
- Encrypted local backup/restore of app configuration
jollyfin-cli: a Termux command-line client that talks to a running instance over its local control API — browse libraries, search, and trigger or manage downloads by name from a terminal
Release APKs embed the exact commit they were built from and are checksummed, so you can verify a published APK against this source. See REPRODUCIBLE_BUILDS.md.
