Procedural_Audio

Metasounds Exploration

This project explores a physically informed procedural collision-audio system in Unreal Engine. Collision logic is handled in C++, while MetaSounds is used for synthesis. Rather than swapping audio files for different surfaces, the system maps physical material properties such as hardness, damping, roughness, granularity, resonance, and contact duration to sound parameters, allowing impacts on concrete, dirt, and grass to sound distinct in a procedural way.

The framework is designed around layered sound generation, including impact transient, object resonance, surface contribution, and texture detail, with future plans for sliding and rolling interactions.
