Phase 1

New Features:

  • Implemented admin functionalities:
    • Administrators can now kick, ban, and mute users in the chat.
    • Muting functionality is triggered automatically for users sending inappropriate messages or flooding the chat with messages.
    • Automatic bans are issued for users with a history of repeated inappropriate behavior (3 or more instances).

Enhancements:

  • Improved user experience by providing relevant project-related content:
    • The bot now responds to user queries with information about the project.
    • Responses are tailored to provide the most relevant information available.
    • In the absence of specific project-related content, the bot provides general knowledge responses.

Technologies Used:

  • Node.js: Backend server environment for running the bot application.
  • Express.js: Web framework used for building the bot's API endpoints.
  • MongoDB with Mongoose: Database system for storing user data and chat history.
  • OpenAI Turbo Model: AI model utilized for generating natural language responses.
  • Langchain: Language processing library for handling text-based interactions.
  • Text Embedding with OpenAI: Technique used for understanding the context and semantics of user messages.
  • Vector Store: Repository for storing vector representations of text data for efficient retrieval and processing.

Notes:

  • This release marks the completion of Beta Phase 1 development for the Goat AI Assistant project.
  • The addition of admin functionalities enhances the bot's control and management capabilities within the chat environment.
  • Users can expect improved responsiveness and relevance in the bot's interactions, as it now provides project-related information tailored to their queries.
  • The tech stack employed in the development of the bot ensures robustness, scalability, and efficient handling of user interactions.
