Summary

First pre-release v20260730-dev for testing of new major version of ptable.library, the AmigaOS partition-table library (RDB/MBR/GPT) for m68k-amigaos.

What's New

ptable 2.0+, released as a standalone component, is a single scanner that parses RDB, MBR, GPT, and flat (whole-disk FAT) partition tables and publishes every partition into a shared partition.resource, so a device driver and a filesystem handler no longer each carry their own partition parser. It was assembled from existing code: the library framework and RDB cold-boot path came from compactflash.device, the MBR/GPT scanning from fat95.

It is consumed by compactflash.device 2.0+ and fat95 4.0+.

It also ships a new CLI, lsptres, that lists the contents of partition.resource (partition name, DOSType, geometry, and the resolved mount Flags/CONTROL).
