New Recovery Client v1.0.0 — Standard edition

The full multi-file edition. Creates a standard recovery-folder structure for every new client from a Windows Explorer right-click (or Start Menu) shortcut.

Originally conceived as a Post Haste project template — Digital Rebellion's free folder/project-template application. This edition re-implements that template natively in Windows, so Post Haste is not required, but the folder layout traces back to the original Post Haste template.

Install

  1. Extract the ZIP.
  2. Run Install.cmd and choose your permanent Clients folder.
  3. Right-click in File Explorer (or on the desktop) → New Recovery Client, or use the Start Menu shortcut. On Windows 11 it may be under Show more options.

Includes

Install.cmd / Install.ps1, New-RecoveryClient.ps1, Uninstall.cmd / Uninstall.ps1, Test-New-Recovery-Client.cmd, full docs/ (including the Post Haste background), reference template/, CI workflow, and AGENTS.md (an AI fork-and-modify guide).

Verification

  • Folder creation, existing-folder (Yes/No), reserved-name rejection, and filename sanitization verified headless against the runtime.
  • PowerShell syntax check passes on GitHub Actions Windows runners.
