Two-finger trackpad drag becomes a held middle mouse button, inside one app only.

Install

  1. Download TrackSteer-1.0.0.zip, unzip, and move TrackSteer.app to your Applications folder.
  2. Launch it. macOS will warn that the developer cannot be verified — the app is ad-hoc signed rather than notarized. Right-click the app and choose Open to get past it.
  3. Grant Accessibility in System Settings → Privacy & Security. Intercepting and posting input events is exactly what that permission governs, so it cannot work without it.

Then in World of Warcraft, bind Move and Steer to the middle mouse button. The BindSwap addon does this in one click.

Notes

  • Two-finger scroll is consumed inside WoW, so camera zoom needs keys. BindSwap's preset binds = and -.
  • Three fingers is left alone — macOS uses it for Spaces.
  • Uses a private Apple framework to count fingers, so a macOS update could break it.

Built and tested on Apple Silicon, macOS 26.
