TrackSteer 1.2.0
Turning on the spot, and a menu bar you can actually use.
What it does now
| Gesture | In World of Warcraft |
|---|---|
| Two fingers resting, moving | Run and steer |
| Two fingers pressed, moving | Turn on the spot |
| Release the press, keep resting | Carry on running |
Turning uses WoW's own mouselook, so it runs at whatever camera sensitivity you already have set. Right-click targeting is untouched.
Also new
- Menu bar item with turn speed, pause, and a status line that says why it is idle —
Waiting — World of Warcraft isn't frontmostrather than silently doing nothing. - Settings persist and apply live, no restart.
Install
- Download, unzip, move
TrackSteer.appto Applications. - macOS will say the developer cannot be verified — the app is ad-hoc signed, not notarized. Right-click and choose Open.
- Grant Accessibility in System Settings → Privacy & Security.
Upgrading? Ad-hoc signatures change with every build, so macOS revokes the permission on update. Remove the old TrackSteer entry in Accessibility with the − button and add it back — toggling it off and on is not enough.
Then bind Move and Steer to the middle mouse button in WoW; the BindSwap addon does it in one click.
