TrackSteer gives your Mac trackpad the middle mouse button it doesn't have.
In World of Warcraft that means you can run and steer without touching a movement key, leaving your left hand free for abilities:

Two-finger scrolling stays completely normal in every other app.
Install
- Download TrackSteer-1.3.0.zip below, unzip it, drag
TrackSteer.appinto Applications. - Right-click it and choose Open — not a double-click. macOS will say the developer cannot be verified, because this is signed by me rather than paid-for through Apple. Right-click → Open gives you a button to open it anyway. Once only.
- It appears in your menu bar as TS. Click it, choose Open Accessibility settings…, and tick TrackSteer. It can't read the trackpad without that, and it'll say so until you do.
Then bind Move and Steer to the middle mouse button in WoW. The BindSwap addon does it in one click.
Not just for WoW
Anything that wants a held middle button and can't get one from a clickpad works the same way — Blender, Fusion 360, FreeCAD, Figma, Google Earth. Add them from the menu under Active in → Add an app….
Updating from an earlier version
macOS ties Accessibility permission to the app's exact signature, so an update revokes it. Remove the old TrackSteer entry with the − button and add it back — toggling off and on isn't enough.
