  • Android: autoFocus on an input inside a presented BottomSheet opens the
    keyboard on Android 11-14 (Zé's "Editar mensagem" on a Galaxy S10, where
    1.13.1 still issued no show request). The interactive sheet window keeps
    adjustNothing with an unspecified soft-input state, so the system never
    shows the IME when the window gains focus, and a request made before the
    IME serves the remounted input is dropped by the client. While an
    autoFocus input is pending, its modal window now asks for
    SOFT_INPUT_STATE_ALWAYS_VISIBLE (the platform itself shows the IME for
    the focused editor on focus gain) until the IME is visible (4 s at most);
    the input asks again as soon as the IME creates its input connection; and
    focus/keyboard retries are bounded by wall-clock time (3 s), not by attempt
    counts that a long UI-thread frame could burn in one burst.
  • PamAutoFocus logcat lines (focus gave up, waiting for window focus,
    connection created, show issued, IME visible) trace the path on devices.
  • PamSheetKeyboardInstrumentedTest: Zé's flow (kept sheet presented under
    a closing transparent overlay, multiline natively-synced input remounted
    with a new key and autoFocus, a 1.2 s UI-thread stall), passing on an
    Android 12 (API 31) emulator with three-button navigation.
