• Android: appending a page to a VirtualizedList (or raising the adaptive
  prefetch distance during a fling) no longer lays out and binds the whole
  prefetched area in one frame. The off-screen layout space shrinks at once
  but grows back by at most one row per layout pass, restarting from the
  viewport when rows are appended. On a Galaxy S10 a device-gallery grid
  fling went from p99 41 ms and ~5 missed vsyncs per run to p99 29 ms and
  none (jank 3.7% → 2.9%).
• Android: MediaLibrary::assets() and albums() sort through the SQL sort
  order (date_added DESC, date_modified DESC, _id DESC). MediaProvider on
  Android 11/12 ignored the structured sort columns and returned the oldest
  media first; pages are now newest first like the camera roll (iOS already
  sorted by creationDate descending).
