WadMaker, SpriteMaker & ModelTextureMaker 1.4
This release adds a new tool: ModelTextureMaker, with special support for transparent textures and color remap textures. It also adds support for Paint.NET image files (.pdn), fixes transparency bugs for qpics and certain .tga files, and improves the conversion of animated sprites back to images.
ModelTextureMaker:
- Workflow: converts directories full of images to directories full of 8-bit indexed bitmaps. Can also extract textures from model files, or replace model textures.
- Efficiency: only modified files and settings are processed.
- Configuration: color remap settings can be configured within an image's filename. Other settings can be specified in modeltexturemaker.config files.
- Flexibility: accepts various image formats (png, jpg, gif, bmp, tga), Photoshop files (psd, psb), Krita files (kra, ora) and Paint.NET files (pdn). Input images can be true-color and can containt transparency, ModelTextureMaker will automatically generate a suitable palette. Support for other file formats can be enabled with converter rules (a global modeltexturemaker.config file with example rules for Gimp and Aseprite files is provided).
- Color remap textures: special support for color remap textures (dm_base, remapX and model portrait textures).
