  • Add a manual GitHub release checker for unsigned desktop builds.
  • Show update status and release links on the welcome screen.
  • Point desktop release checks and download links at the standalone IDE GitHub repo.
  • Build the DMG from the packaged app bundle instead of assuming an app already exists in /Applications.
