Improve tests for power spectral density methods in GP covariance functions

### Description

The tests of PSD for most of the covariance functions are superficial, not really testing the performance of the decomposition. #7973 includes an improved test based on Rayleigh quotients. We should similarly improve the tests for the remaining kernels.
