IINTS-AF Research Workbench — Rust/Tauri Beta

This prerelease contains the native Rust/Tauri research workbench with a restrained text-only IINTS-AF identity, academic navigation, simulation workflows, results inspection, reproducibility controls, local Ollama review, MDMP evidence tools, and audited biology/research connectors.

Version 0.2.5 fixes patient-model compatibility in baseline comparisons and completes the bundled AlphaFold controls. Protein cards now provide a local interactive C-alpha viewer, static PNG opening, safe Finder/Explorer reveal for mmCIF coordinates, on-demand PAE generation, and an allowlisted link to the matching official AlphaFold entry.

Paths across run output, result inspection, academic export, SBML, COPASI, CellML, and FMI workflows retain native file and folder selectors. Inputs remain editable for advanced use, while extension checks, required-field validation, consent-aware actions, disabled unavailable actions, keyboard shortcuts, and responsive layouts reduce avoidable operator mistakes.

The Settings workspace stores non-sensitive local defaults, reports app and Python SDK versions independently, creates or repairs a private Python engine through a fixed visible command, links to the stable app installers, and provides direct access to the maintained user and installation guides.

Matching .sha256 files are included for integrity verification. The complete macOS app bundle is always sealed and strictly verified. It uses a Developer ID signature and notarization when repository credentials are configured; otherwise the beta uses a coherent ad-hoc signature.

Required scientific engine

This beta is a secure native shell around the Python SDK. If Overview reports that the bridge is unavailable, select Install Python engine. The app creates a private engine under ~/.iints-af/python-engine through a fixed Rust-owned command. Return to the app and select Refresh versions when the visible terminal completes. Python 3.10-3.14 must be available on the computer.

The app never silently installs COPASI, OpenCOR, Ollama, or model files. It detects optional external tools and reports what is available.
