IINTS-AF Research Workbench — Rust/Tauri Beta

This prerelease contains the native Rust/Tauri research workbench with a restrained text-only IINTS-AF identity, academic navigation, simulation workflows, results inspection, reproducibility controls, local Ollama review, MDMP evidence tools, and audited biology/research connectors.

Version 0.2.14 accompanies SDK v1.5.37. Update the app and Python engine separately from Settings to enable all new features.

Runs now prepare full-file metrics, a glucose figure, MDMP data checks and a reproducibility package automatically. Local Ollama review remains opt-in. Results reopen with their saved artifacts, and history refreshes when the output folder changes.

The new Physiology map replaces the decorative torso with recorded model states and fluxes. It uses model-specific fields, correct units, signed arrows and recorded sample times. Missing data is never replaced by illustrative values. Technical result metadata is collapsible.

The user guide includes actual Mac-app screenshots. This release has Python, Rust and frontend regression checks; software tests do not establish clinical validity.

Matching .sha256 files are included for integrity verification. Downloads are signed with a Developer ID (macOS, notarized and stapled) or Authenticode certificate (Windows) when one is configured for this build; otherwise the workflow falls back to an ad-hoc macOS signature or an unsigned Windows installer rather than failing the release, and the platform will warn accordingly (see Desktop Signing).

Once installed, the app can check for and install its own future updates from Settings, signed with a separate updater key independent of the platform certificates above.

Required scientific engine

This beta is a secure native shell around the Python SDK. If Overview reports that the bridge is unavailable, select Install Python engine. The app creates a private engine under ~/.iints-af/python-engine through a fixed Rust-owned command. Return to the app and select Refresh versions when the visible terminal completes. Python 3.10-3.14 must be available on the computer.

The app never silently installs COPASI, OpenCOR, Ollama, or model files. It detects optional external tools and reports what is available.

Safety

Research and education only. This is not a medical device and must not be used for diagnosis, insulin dosing, treatment decisions, or real-time patient care.
