Draftwright 0.4.20
Draftwright 0.4.20 brings the AI control-surface improvements and reviewed drawing fixes to the published Quiddity 0.2.2 runtime.
- Discover planner-supported view/side pairs with
Sheet.dimension_options(...)and get structured preflight refusals withSheet.validate_dimension(...)(#1477). Both APIs state that final build validation is still required. - Draw standalone oriented rectangular through-slots through the shared detection, declaration, generated-script, placement and completeness pipeline (#1480). Leaders target the physical camera-facing opening. Oriented-slot pattern drafting remains deferred.
- Correct Blend radius leaders that pointed at profile centres instead of their owning curved boundaries; independent lint now checks the finished target (#1481, fixes #1479).
- Adopt exact
quiddity==0.2.2for production recognition, including unified section recesses, exact occurrence ownership and body-local groove/step membership (#1471).
Reports and STEP inspection documents now use schema version 2 and producer.quiddity. Consumers should select the schema using schema_version; the v1 schemas remain available for existing documents.
Known Quiddity 0.2.2 limitations are accepted for this release: some mixed-profile/nested pockets, bore-intersected channels and edge-open recesses, and pockets in cylindrical stock can lose automatic annotations. Refusals remain visible in lint and evidence. These cases remain tracked in Quiddity #536, #538 and #541. Check the feature inventory and lint when reviewing affected drawings.
The NIST CTC corpus also has fewer automatic callouts where former pocket detections become side channels outside the current drafting support or explicit recognition refusals. A fitting plan does not certify those source features as fully annotated. Historical callout counts remain tracked as strict expected-failure regressions.
