50 new features on master, 1 August – 19 September 2026

The 50 new features merged into master before the ones in #1193, newest first within each group. As there, bug fixes, translations, tests and build changes are left out. These landed between 1 August and 19 September 2026.

Drawing and placing

• One-click wire colour on the toolbar (Add a one-click conductor colour to the toolbar (#461) #929)
• F2 remembers the last wire colour for the rest of the session (Remember the F2 conductor color for the rest of the session #888)
• Paste lands under the cursor, and you can position it before it drops (Paste under the cursor, and restore the folio context menu after a paste (#913) #917, Paste under the cursor, and let it be positioned before it lands #878)
• Wires break automatically when an element is dropped, pasted or moved onto them (Follow up Auto-break conductors #700, @Kellermorph)
• Tab cycles through the selection, plus select all wires or all text fields (Add Tab selection cycling and select-all conductors/text fields #874)
• Rotate group: rotate a selection as a whole (Add "rotate group" to actually rotate a selection as a whole #660)
• New shapes and texts reuse the last style you used, for the session (Remember last-used shape/text style for new items this session #656)
• Resize, rotate and skew handles for shapes and pictures (Add editable resize/rotate/skew handles for shapes and images #809, @arummler)
• Picture transparency, with a sensitivity setting per colour (Image speed improvement and additional transparency feature #810, @arummler)
• Import a PDF page as a picture, now also in the Flatpak (Add PDF page import as image #772, Enable PDF import in Flatpak by adding QtWebEngine BaseApp #811, @Kellermorph)
• Rotation centre option for a symbol's dynamic texts (Feature added: Rotation point center property for dynamic text fields #694, @IBSYSLevi)
• Lock an element's position from its properties (Add position-lock checkbox to element properties (#801) #803)

Keyboard and navigation

• Ctrl+G jumps to an element by typing part of its name (Add Ctrl+G "jump to element" quick-open popup #586)
• Configurable shortcuts: a Shortcuts page in Settings (Add configurable shortcuts: Shortcuts preferences page + app-wide registry #587), grouped by category with a working search (Shortcuts page: group by category and make search actually work #760)
• Drawing tools in a menu, so they can be used without a mouse (Put the drawing tools in a menu so they can be used without a mouse #875)
• F10 opens the menu bar, and the keyboard's menu key opens the folio's own right-click menu (Open the menu bar on F10, the key people expect #877, Give the keyboard the folio's context menu, not a generic one #876)
• Search results scroll the folio to the selected hit (Scroll the diagram view to the selected search hit (bugtracker #309) #706)
• Unsaved changes shown in the window title (Show unsaved-changes state in the main window title (macOS modified dot) #624)

Folios and projects

• Insert folio above or below from the elements panel (Add "Insert folio above/below" to the elements panel's folio menu #658)
• Undo and redo for adding, deleting and reordering folios (Add undo/redo support for folio add, delete, and reorder #590)
• New folios are selected in the project tree (Select newly added diagram in project tree #805, @Kellermorph)
• Reload element drawings to refresh placed elements after editing their symbol (Add "Reload element drawings" to refresh placed elements #889)

Symbol editor and element properties

• Export a symbol to SVG (Add "Export to SVG" to the element editor (discussion #605) #637)
• Mirror and flip in place, instead of across the origin (Element editor: mirror and flip the selection in place instead of across the origin #813, @jp2images)
• Live cursor coordinates in the status bar (Add live cursor-coordinate readout to the element editor status bar #589)

Cross-references, coils and PLC

• Contact breakdown on a coil: NO/NC/changeover counts, and used against declared (Show the NO/NC/SW contact breakdown in a master's General tab #826, Show used against declared capacity where a master declares contact groups #827)
• Hide full coils when linking a contact (Add Hide full masters checkbox to slave linking widget #881, @Kellermorph)

Auto-numbering

• Reuse auto-numbering rules from another project (New feature: reuse automatic numbering rules from another project #851)
