50 new features on master, April 2022 – July 2026

The 50 new features merged into master before the ones in #1195, newest first within each group. As in #1193 and #1195, bug fixes, translations, tests and build changes are left out.

These reach further back, from April 2022 to 31 July 2026. Before September 2023 most work went straight into master rather than through pull requests, so the older lines cite a commit instead of a PR number.

Folios and projects

• Duplicate a folio with all its contents and data (Feat: Add ability to duplicate diagrams/folios with all metadata and … #473, @Kellermorph)

• Time-spent tracker per project, kept locally (Add a local, per-project time-spent tracker #583)
• Folio properties pick up a title block's custom variables automatically (Folio properties: auto-add a title block's custom variables #495)

• Shortcuts to move a folio up or down by 10 or 100 (2f72c60)

Drawing

• Custom guides on the folio for lining things up (Add Custom Guides #509, @Kellermorph)
• Option to move only dynamic texts (Added option to only move dynamic texts #365, @elevatormind)
• Hover hint on dynamic texts: hold Shift to move them (Mouse hover text for dynamic text items #386, @elevatormind)
• Grid dot size setting, scaling with zoom (implement setting of point-size of grids #372, improvement: adjust size of grid-dots with zoom-factor #384, @plc-user)

Terminals and terminal strips

• Terminal strip editor, with terminal strips you can place on a folio and a layout editor with preview (Terminal strip #266, Merge Terminal strip to master #267, Joshua)
• Automatic terminal numbering across a whole project (Automatic Terminal Numbering Tool #449, @Kellermorph)
• Isolating terminals: disconnect the potential between the two sides without deleting wires (Potential Isolation option for terminals #471, @Kellermorph)
• Terminal names stored on each wire connection in the project file, for external tools (add terminal-names to connection in qet-file #297, @plc-user)

Coils, contacts and PLC

• PLC manager: PLC input/output modules as masters with an I/O table, linked to contacts on the schematic (PLC Manager #562, @Kellermorph)
• Contact groups: a coil defines its contact groups, and contacts are checked and assigned when linked (Implement slave contact groups — label transfer, terminal assignment and UI fixes #545, @Kellermorph)
