Privacy and Security

Unspool communicates with Telegram through TDLib because browsing chats and downloading their files cannot work offline. The app has no analytics, advertising SDK, developer-operated backend, or remote-code system.

  • Telegram API credentials are stored in macOS Keychain.
  • Local app state stays under Application Support.
  • Downloads go only to a user-selected security-scoped folder.
  • Filters, selections, presets, and download history are local.
  • Public screenshots and fixtures use synthetic data.

Telegram necessarily processes account, chat, message, and file requests made through its service. Unspool is independent of Telegram.
