Qesh v0.3.0 — Qentrah Shell
Qesh is Qentrah's open-source shell workspace for macOS.
This first preview includes a standalone desktop app and an OpenTUI CLI, real shell sessions, tabs and groups, independent windows, draggable split panes, a three-dot workspace menu, searchable application commands, and editable JSON configuration. Docking, detaching, and resizing retain shell processes. The desktop uses a quiet dark layout with Qentrah branding and zsh command highlighting.
Download Qesh-macOS-arm64.zip for Apple Silicon (M-series), or Qesh-macOS-x64.zip for Intel Macs. Extract the ZIP and open Qesh.app. Both native builds bundle Bun, Node.js, Electron, and native terminal dependencies. SHA-256 checksums are included for both builds. qesh.config.json is included beside the app. Builds are locally signed and not notarized.
Source setup, keyboard shortcuts, configuration, architecture, limitations, build instructions, verification commands, licensing, and contribution guidance are in the repository README.
Validation: TypeScript check, 15 tests, CLI smoke, desktop PTY smoke, and packaged signature verification passed locally. Both Apple Silicon and Intel builds passed GitHub Actions checks, packaged shell smoke tests, and signature verification. The repository includes macOS build CI. This is a preview; there is no saved workspace restore or child-application mouse forwarding.
