LaTeX Live 0.1.7

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 03 Oct 17:38

LaTeX Live 0.1.7 fixes blurred PDF previews after moving between displays with different pixel densities and removes the runtime stylesheet fallback rejected in the 0.1.6 community review.

  • Display-density changes redraw PDF backing pixels even when the preview pane's width is unchanged. Zoom, scroll position and text selection are retained, without recompiling or reopening the document.
  • Preview styling uses the standard styles.css release asset. If the stylesheet was not downloaded or loaded, a delayed notice explains how to update and restart Obsidian, or reinstall after backing up settings. Normal and startup-delayed loading produce no warning; closed previews cancel the check and popouts inspect their own window.
  • Runtime style-element creation and bundled CSS text are removed. CI and releases now enforce every error-level rule in the official Obsidian recommended configuration, including forbidden elements, plus the SDL unsafe-HTML rule.
  • The community review fixes from the successfully reviewed 0.1.5 release remain included.

Validated with 855 passing tests, 18 real pdf.js reading/layout browser checks and 31 editor browser checks. Coverage includes missing/delayed stylesheet loading, light/dark themes, 375/800px panes, Retina density changes, a 65-page bilingual PDF and native English/Chinese copying. Production build and the expanded blocking community-review lint gate pass.

Requires desktop Obsidian 1.13.7 or later and a separately installed TeX distribution.

The project's own code is MIT. Bundled DOMPurify uses its Apache-2.0 license option; upstream software and referenced materials retain their own licenses. See THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md for details.

LaTeX Live 0.1.6

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 03 Oct 17:25

LaTeX Live 0.1.6 addresses vertically stacked PDF controls when the plugin stylesheet is missing, and blurred previews after moving between displays with different pixel densities.

  • If Obsidian did not download or load styles.css, opening a preview restores the same authored stylesheet bundled in main.js. Controls, page dimensions and selectable text recover together. Normal stylesheet loading adds nothing; theme/snippet overrides and unload cleanup are preserved. No network request or appearance reset is required.
  • Changes between Retina and other displays redraw PDF backing pixels even when the preview pane's width is unchanged. Zoom, scroll position and text selection are retained, without recompiling or reopening the document.
  • The community review fixes shipped in 0.1.5 remain included. That version completed its official review successfully.

Validated with 855 passing tests, 17 real pdf.js reading/layout browser checks and 31 editor browser checks, including missing-stylesheet recovery, light/dark themes, 375/800px panes, Retina density changes, a 65-page bilingual PDF and native English/Chinese copying. Production build and the blocking community-review lint gate pass.

LaTeX Live 0.1.5

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 03 Oct 16:50

LaTeX Live 0.1.5 fixes the two blocking findings from the community review of 0.1.4.

  • Clipboard table HTML now passes through the existing DOMPurify sanitizer before cells are read. Formatting text, entity decoding and merged-cell rejection are preserved; script and iframe content is discarded.
  • PDF page and detached text-layer sizing now uses Obsidian's setCssProps API. The pdf.js scale and rounding variables are present before rendering, preserving text selection, copy and zoom geometry.
  • Build and release workflows run the official static-style rule and SDL unsafe-HTML rule through npm run lint:review. This gate reproduces all five blocking findings in 0.1.4 and reports zero in the repaired source.
  • The development-only Moment dependency is updated through an override to address GHSA-4p3w-j4w9-5jqw, without changing the Moment supplied by Obsidian at runtime.

Validated with 850 passing tests, 24 bibliography/table/prose browser checks and 11 native pdf.js reading checks, plus a production build and a dependency audit with zero vulnerabilities.

Requires desktop Obsidian 1.13.7 or later and a separately installed TeX distribution. Features from 0.1.4 remain available. Community advisory findings are separate from the release-blocking checks.

The project's own code is MIT. Bundled DOMPurify uses its Apache-2.0 license option; upstream software and referenced materials retain their own licenses. See THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md for details.

LaTeX Live 0.1.4

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 03 Oct 02:24

LaTeX Live 0.1.4 adds TeX file creation to the file explorer and fixes selection highlighting on the cursor's line.

  • Right-click a folder and choose New TeX file (新建 TeX 文件 in Chinese). Enter a name to create an empty .tex file and open it in a new editor tab. The same action is available in the command palette. Names receive the .tex suffix automatically; existing files are preserved. IME confirmation, duplicate submissions, moved folders and opening failures are handled.
  • Multiline selections now remain visibly highlighted on the active line. The opaque active-line background previously covered CodeMirror's selection layer. Nonempty selections make that background transparent, while an empty caret restores the normal active-line highlight. Selection geometry, source text and layer order are unchanged.

Validated with 849 passing tests, real Chrome pixel checks for forward/reverse selections, soft wrapping and dark mode, plus live editing and typography regressions.

Requires desktop Obsidian 1.13.7 or later and a separately installed TeX distribution. All features from 0.1.3 remain available, including LuaLaTeX HTML export and the Unicode-path inverse SyncTeX fix. texlab and YOLO remain optional.

The project's own code is MIT. Bundled DOMPurify uses its Apache-2.0 license option; upstream software and referenced materials retain their own licenses. See THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md for details.

LaTeX Live 0.1.3

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 02 Oct 18:13

LaTeX Live 0.1.3 adds project writing tools, PDF reading controls, customizable editor typography and LuaLaTeX HTML export. It also fixes inverse SyncTeX navigation when the filesystem's Unicode path spelling differs from Obsidian's normalized file index.

  • Customize source font size, line height and font family, plus formula preview size.
  • Use a project outline and fold sections, proofs and environments.
  • Search across the current root and its input files. Preview cross-file replacements and label renames, or rename a paired begin/end environment, with stale-file checks, recovery backups and Undo.
  • Search complete local bibliography libraries by author, title, year or citation key, inspect all fields and insert citations without texlab's 50-result limit.
  • Count source prose, check spelling with Obsidian's system dictionary, and preview clipboard tables as tabular/booktabs before inserting them.
  • Read PDFs with trackpad zoom, selectable/copyable text, clickable links, page navigation and Save as PDF. Double-click inverse SyncTeX remains available.
  • Export HTML with pdfLaTeX, XeLaTeX or LuaLaTeX. LuaLaTeX preserves native PDF drawing. Native graphic fragments require separately installed dvisvgm and a working PDF backend, such as mutool from MuPDF on PATH. Missing tools are reported and the affected source is retained; the plugin does not install them.

Project tools run on demand or after an idle delay. Typing does not scan a whole project, and PDF layers are rendered lazily with a bounded cache. Source word counts do not expand custom macros; spelling requires an enabled host dictionary. Semantic fold indexing skips documents over 1,000,000 characters. Cross-file edits never write outside the vault; dynamic or incomplete input traversal prevents global label rename. booktabs tables require the document to load booktabs, and merged clipboard cells are not supported.

Requires desktop Obsidian 1.13.7 or later and a separately installed TeX distribution. texlab and YOLO remain optional, separately installed integrations. The plugin does not bundle a TeX engine.

Validated with 836 passing tests, real pdfLaTeX/XeLaTeX/LuaLaTeX Unicode-path navigation regressions, and browser checks for editing, project tools and a 65-page bilingual PDF.

The project's own code is MIT. Bundled DOMPurify uses its Apache-2.0 license option, with the full license included in the bundle. Upstream software and referenced materials retain their own licenses. See THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md for details.

LaTeX Live 0.1.2

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 01 Oct 16:29

LaTeX Live 0.1.2 aligns author-owned source and documentation with YOLO's standard MIT license. Published JavaScript and stylesheets contain the full copyright and permission notice.

Requires desktop Obsidian 1.13.7 or later and a separately installed TeX distribution. texlab and YOLO are optional, separately installed integrations. HTML export currently supports pdfLaTeX and XeLaTeX; LuaLaTeX remains supported for PDF compilation.

The project's own code is MIT. Bundled DOMPurify uses its Apache-2.0 license option, with the full license included in the bundle. Upstream software and referenced materials retain their own licenses. See the README and THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md for installation, file access and optional-network disclosures.

LaTeX Live 0.1.1

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 01 Oct 15:42

LaTeX Live 0.1.1 sanitizes theorem statement, proof and footnote cards before inserting them into the editor. The cards preserve MathJax formulas, local reference links and SVG glyphs while removing executable HTML and unsafe URLs. The kgdistiller CLI bridge now parses generated MathML as XML before applying its existing allowlist.

Requires desktop Obsidian 1.13.7 or later and a separately installed TeX distribution. texlab and YOLO are optional, separately installed integrations. HTML export currently supports pdfLaTeX and XeLaTeX; LuaLaTeX remains supported for PDF compilation.

The project's own code is MIT-0. Bundled DOMPurify uses its Apache-2.0 license option, with the full license included in the bundle. Upstream software and referenced materials retain their own licenses. See the README and THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md for installation, file access and optional-network disclosures.
