🚀 Major change: Home Assistant Card Editor rebuilt 🛠️✨

I’ve done a full rebuild of the Home Assistant card editor experience.

🧨 Why this change?

The previous approach relied heavily on Home Assistant’s built-in editor UI, which comes with some limitations (e.g. their own card editor constraints). That made the card more unstable, and it also meant I couldn’t fully control certain UI actions (like the Save button) inside the editor.

🧠 What’s new?

To make things more stable and responsive, I’ve moved almost all settings into the card itself:

  • ⚙️ A small gear icon (Settings) now appears in the top-right corner of the card
  • Clicking it opens a settings panel that’s nearly identical to the old editor 🎛️✅
  • 🧊 This should reduce (or eliminate) the crashes/freezes some of you experienced
  • ⚡ In my own testing, it feels significantly faster and reacts much quicker

⚠️ Compatibility note

I don’t expect this to impact your existing cards — but please keep it in mind just in case 🙏
