Warning
β οΈ This is the LAST standalone card release!
The Lovelace card has been moved into the former βSyncβ integration β
π The integration previously known as Thermostat Pro Timeline Sync is now called Thermostat Pro Timeline.
π΄ You MUST follow the migration steps below before installing/updating.
π£ Whatβs changing?
-
π This repository/card release is the final standalone release
-
π¦ From now on, the card is bundled and managed by the integration
-
𧩠After setup, the integration will automatically:
- π Install the card into your
wwwfolder - π Add the card to Resources (like HACS) β
- π Install the card into your
β No functional changes to the card β this is purely to make installs/updates easier for everyone ππ
β Mandatory migration steps (do this BEFORE installing/updating)
1) πΎ Backup your card config (CRITICAL!)
-
Create a backup of your card configuration/file π§Ύ
-
Save it under a different name than the default card filename π‘οΈ
- This helps ensure it wonβt be overwritten or removed during uninstall
2) π§Ή Remove the old setup completely
- β Uninstall the card (make sure itβs fully removed from Home Assistant)
- β Uninstall the integration
3) π₯ Install the new combined integration
- β Install Thermostat Pro Timeline (previously βThermostat Pro Timeline Syncβ)
- π Restart Home Assistant (recommended and important) β
4) βοΈ Set up the integration again
-
Go to Settings β Devices & Services π§
-
Add/configure the integration like you did before β
-
Once configured, it will automatically:
- π Install the card into
www - π Add it to Resources
- π Install the card into
5) π Hard refresh Home Assistant
- Do a hard refresh in your browser π
- Chrome shortcut: Ctrl + Alt + R β¨οΈ
β After this, the card should appear exactly like before πβ¨
β»οΈ Restore your old backup (easy method)
- π Create a new backup right after reinstall
- π Open the backup file you saved before uninstalling
- π Copy the content
- π Paste it into the newly created (likely empty) backup file
- πΎ Save
π Home Assistant wonβt automatically ask for a restart just because you changed the backup file β but itβs still a good idea to restart anyway β to ensure everything is fully reloaded and applied.
Then you should be able to load your old backup again π―π
π If something looks wrong
- β Double-check you removed both the old card and old integration
- β
Verify the card exists in
www - β Verify the resource entry was added
- π Do another hard refresh
